Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Pressure Washer Expert
hi mike, I use a cheap 1600 psi electric pw, I use it on my car, driveway, and fence and it is fine for the car, although it doesn't have a soap dispenser which would be nice, but for the other jobs, it is a little slow. I would like to get an upgrade but worry that most are too powerful and will lead to damage if used on wood or, heaven forbid, our cars. I liked the advertising of the Generac variable pressure system, but then read the reviews of poor quality and even worse customer service. Is that an alternative that will allow me to moderate the pressure? Either another unit with variable pressure or some attachment that will moderate it? Thanks.

Answer
I highly recommend the Generac brand. However, my favorite unit is the Generac 6598. You can attach the Simpson Dial-N-Wash for pressure regulation. The Generac 6598 is one of the best consumer grade units in the industry today. I have attached links to both products I am recommending.
