HOW POWER EQUIPMENT DIRECT HAS PRIORITIZED CUSTOMER AND ASSOCIATE SAFETY WITH COVID-19
We have been closely monitoring the complex and rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We would like to extend a special thank you to the local, state, and federal agencies, as well as health officials who work diligently to contain the virus. We are following the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure that we are making consistent, fact-based decisions about our activities and our operations.
We want to provide an update on the state of our operations, our supply chain, how we are addressing your safety, that of our associates, and the communities in which we live and work.
We have made the difficult decision, out of an abundance of caution and a review of information from experts and authorities, to suspend all travel and institute a work-from-home policy for most associates able to do so.
Our locations remain operational to serve your online ordering needs. However, in-person customer local pickup and in-store ordering options have been suspended until CDC guidelines announce it is safe to resume. Our inventory and supply chain remains strong. If you have any questions regarding your projects, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Power Equipment Direct sales associate.
Our Sales Center associates are still available to answer your call. However, call hold times may be longer than usual. For the best possible service, we encourage you to contact us via e-mail or online chat. This is clearly a dynamic situation, and if closures become necessary at any of our locations, we will work to communicate in a timely fashion and provide you with alternative solutions.
Power Equipment Direct has always been honored to provide world-class services to both industry professionals and consumers coast-to-coast. We encourage all of our customers to continue to use our online services. Our greatest responsibility is ensuring every Power Equipment Direct associate returns home as good or better than when they came to work. We are educating all our associates on COVID-19 symptoms and preventive measures. We remain flexible and recommend that any associate who is not feeling well stay at home.
While this is a fast-moving situation, we are confident we are making choices consistent with maintaining your trust and our values. Our highest priority remains the health and safety of our customers, associates, and communities, and we are committed to providing updates as we learn more.
Thank you for your continued support of our company.
