Best Mower Ever!!

I bought this machine back in 2012, and other than basic maintenance, a couple rear tires, new blade and a couple batteries it's been flawless.
That is until this morning when I fired it up, fuel started spraying out the side of the fuel pump.
With that said, I would absolutely buy another, machines wear out, and fuel pumps are no exception to the rule.

Forget about warranty

If you value a warranty, you might want to purchase something besides a Toro. I purchased a zero turn in 2013. In 2014 I started having problems. I contacted Toro about getting some work done while it's still under warranty and this was in their email reply.
"Note: Some dealers may choose to service only the products they sell. When using the dealer locator, please call the dealer prior to bringing in your machine."
I currently own 2 Toro mowers. A self propelled walk behind and a Timecutter zero turn. You can bet they are the last Toro products I'll ever own.

My mower is right at 1 year old. Three weeks ago the mower started smoking when I would engage the blade. I checked the oil and it was fine. All of a sudden the motor locks up. I take it to a Toro repairman and was told the motor is ruined and that it shouldn't be a problem under warranty. Toro tells him that since the address for the mower is commercial property they won't warranty it. The mower has less than 100 hours on it.

Expert Response
Monte,
The warranty determination is up to Toro, but in some cases this can be requested again. Since the mower is not intended for commercial use, this is what Toro is going off of. If it is your property and you live there, you may actually have a case if you challenge this. If you would like, feel free to give us a call and we can look into this further if need be. We cannot guarantee anything and don't want to make any false promises, but we would be happy to dig into this further if you would like us to.

Another quality Toro product

Well after 20 years my Toro tractor had served me well. Had a family member buy a lake home and needed a tractor. I donated the tractor and went and bought a TimeCutter. Never regret it for a moment once I used this zero turn!! The name "TimeCutter" is exactly that, is cut my mow time to almost half. It's ability to get into tight spaces and maneuver quickly it a great feature.

Even though I just received it and haven't used it yet it is something I've wanted for quite a while. My neighbor has one just like it and I watch him so I know I will love it. I love the no shipping charge and no tax.

Nice Mower - Steep Learning Curve

I purchased this mower after my 20 year old Ariens gave up the ghost. Having previously worked at a certified Toro repair shop, I was aware of the quality of the products. This mower was a bit of a surprise.
First, it comes in a carton with enough lumber in it to build a small house - perhaps a bit of overkill, though it weighs 500+ lbs. If you order one, pay the $50 for the "lift gate" delivery!
Second, if you've never used a zero turn mower before, plan on spending an hour or more just getting the feel of it. It is not intuitive and takes some real practice. The manual warns about trying to mow close to drop offs, which, in my case, is about 500 feet of curb. I think this is because it's so easy to "go the wrong way". The mower steering is very touchy. Toro recommends using a hand mower for these situations.
Regardless, I'm happy with mower and the zero turn feature is a real time saver. I'd buy it again.

Great Mower

The TimeCutter SS3200 mower is a high quality machine. I purchased the following options, hour meter, mulching kit, rear engine guard and bagger. If you intend to buy the bagger don't order the rear engine guard, it's included in the bagger kit. I think options should include an explanation of what is in the kit. Assembly is easy, instructions are written well. The mower starts easy and has plenty of power. Controls are a bit sensitive. The bagger kit with the high-lift blade gives your lawn a beautiful clean cut.

This is just the right size for my lawn. But it is going to take some practice to learn how to run it. It took longer to ship than I liked,...almost 3 weeks. Reading through the owners manual, I couldn't find the part numbers for the following: the blade, oil filter, gas filter, air cleaner filter, and belt. Also didn't say how much oil needed for a oil change. So far, I really like this mower.

First Toro Zero

Bought the SS 3200 locally Mat 2013 and they put it in my truck. Got home unloaded and could not keep it running. Every time I moved the levers out of park it stalled and did this several time. One time I was able to get it to go forward and tried mowing. Then it would stop intermittently when moving out of park. I thought it might be the safety switch in the seat so I jumped it and that did not help. Took mower back and dealer advised there was a recall for the safety system switch. I think they should have changed it before I picked it up the first time. Anyway I used the mower 4 times since and the last time it started doing it again but only a few times. Then it seems the right drive wheel is not working properly as I was unable to steer the mower away from going over the curb and into the street. When going down a minor grade if you pull back on left handle the mower immediately reacts and turns. The same is not true for the right side. Took it back to dealer and all they said they did was adjustment but the right control is still spongy and does not react for stopping or turning compared to the left drive wheel.
I also think the tires are to tall and narrow for the mower as it does tear up the grass even when mowing in the slow speed which I always do. I am taking it back to the dealer once again to see if the right drive assembly is defective and if it cannot be resolved I will take action to get my money back.
