Toro TimeCutter Z Series (50") Replacement Mower Blade
Product QuestionsAnswered by Dale, the Lawn Mower Expert
Todd -
I own a toro Time cutter z5000 50" pre 2011 model. The mower leaves grass tracks in between the blades. Can i resolve the issue by purchasing an 18" blade for the center and stay with the standard 17.5" for the ends. (110-6837)
Thank you,
Brian Rohrer

Answer
Brian - no, I would NOT recommend buying a longer blade for the center spindle of your mower. My guess is that your issue with "grass tracks" is due to your spindle alignment being off. Somehow your three spindles are no longer "synced" up to provide a clean cut. I would recommend having your local Toro dealer take a look at this - it may be a very easy fix with a minor adjustment.
