Simplicity 1695877 Reviews & Ratings
Terrible machine

Arrived last year -2013. Immediately leaked gas, Power Direct was not very helpful. Oddly enough, it stopped leaking and worked through last winter. Now, it will not start even though stored correctly. Not at all happy with product or on-line experience.

Expert Response
We are sorry to hear of the unpleasant experience you have had with your Simplicity snow blower. In many cases, we found out the float would stick on many of these units initially. This issue would typically correct itself when it was ran. This sounds to be a carburetor issue with your snow blower. It is a simple repair, but must be done by a certified Briggs & Stratton/Simplicity servicing dealer. Simplicity can be reached at 1-800-837-6836.

Today, Wednesday 12/26/2012 is the very first time that I have had the chance to use this new snow blower.
I have used my Torro Electric Start snow blower since 1994 and the only reason I bought a new one was the electric start burned-out and it is almost the same price for a new starter with self install as buying a new snow blower.
This Simplicity (even tho it has an electric starter, I wanted to try the pull start first) started with one pull on the cord and that was not even a hard pull and my right hand was operated on Friday, 12/21/2012. This Simplicity is using a lot of gas, a lot more than the old Torro that was a gas oil blend, but the Simplicity is a lot more powerful and really throws the snow a good distance.
But there also is a problem with the way the rubber blades throw out the snow, it throws out the snow through the chute without any problem, but it also is kicking out snow out of the rear bottom of the unit and it goes all over your shoes. I would really like to know why it is doing that because the Torro never did,

Easy to assemble. Quality looks great. Put in oil, then gas. It started on first pull. Amazing ! I like the remote placement to rotate chute. Fuel gauge, and headlight are nice features as well. And best of all, no mixing oil with gas like a 2 cycle, and far fewer fumes.
The electric start is for my wife. REAL MEN use recoil! (lol)
Now we're ready for the supposedly harsh winter that's coming to Chicago!
