First it lasted about 10 minutes. Then after about 6 charges, it only last about 5 minutes. Then the battery would not charge anymore after another 2 more charges.

I'm sorry Henry and Connie..I'm a Truck driver, I get tired of using a broom to clean out my trailer or getting a trailer washout can get expensive. I tried a Black and Decker non lithium blower..it lasted maybe 15min..I was forced to buy extra batteries to get it done but with this Ryobi lithium battery powered blower, I have no problem getting it done with one battery. An extra one comes in handy on those days when the receiver can't keep from putting holes in the freight..I've had it for almost 5yrs..I just love it..I opt for the car charger. I know it bounces around in my side box but it works when I need it.

I bought the first Ryobi 18 volt cordless leaf blower because of its light weight and advertisement of 40 to 60 min. operation time. I only got about 9 - 10 min. on a full charge. Called the manufacture and was told it should get at least 40 min. on a full charge. I took it back and traded it for another one, thinking that the battery on the first one must have been defective. However, after a full charge, the second one only operated for 9 min. I'll be taking it back tomorrow.

Bought one and tried it, but the fully charged battery only lasted minutes. Brought it back thinking it was a defective battery. Got another one. Same results. Clears leaves well if you can do it all in 8 minutes. 8 minutes not worth the money.
