Lasted 10 minutes and the tines stopped turning. This was in already tilled dirt by our large gas tiller. Tried many times by unplugging and plugging back in. Tines would never turn. Contacted company. They agreed to a new one but were out of stock. Have not contacted me since. No phone number to contact anyone. Only email and they are exceptionally slow at responding. I thought Mantis had a good reputation but I would never recommend the electric tiller to anyone. And Mantis customer service is beyond terrible.

I wanted to replace my old gas engine mantis but didn’t want to spend the $$. The electric model provided a cheaper option with similar power. Of course, there’s a learning curve in navigating the cord. (It’s pretty easy with 2 people 😂) The plastic throttle lever is a little flimsy. All in all, it’s a nice little tiller that gets the job done, just not as convenient as its gas powered cousin.

I have a small garden I'm 80 yrs old nothing like homegrown tomatoes. This little tiller is light and easy for me to use and does a good job.

Works great. Garden is within extension cord distance anyway. Didn't want to have to buy gas and any maintenance that goes with small engines.

I own a gas powered Mantis as well and both perform equally well. It is nice to have the electric powered one cause it just doesn’t quit. Worked well in our established garden area cutting through weeds and raspberry runners very well.

WOW, this machine has helped me with huge flower beds. At 1st when I read reviews on tree roots I was like even big tillers have a hard time. Well, this machine tore up quite a few of my roots. Being over 60 this machine has helped me maintain all my flower beds.
Easy to use and once I till I use a dirt rake to smooth everything back out. I am happy I didn't go gas or battery. This Machine does a lot of work with the power of a smaller tiller. We have a huge tiller but it is too big to get between all my flowers.

I was unsure at first, based on my uses of a large rear tine tiller, but this Mantis is superior to it. Operates with ease and user has complete control. No fighting to go where you want. I am very please and my wife loves it because she is able to use it where ever she wants with ease also. Great product. Very glad I purchased it.
