Features
The HydroCheck HC6000v2 Electronic Sump Pump Float Switch with Hi-Lo Dual Sensors and Built-in Alarms is a universal float switch that works with all types of sump pumps. Unlike other float switches that have a small or fixed range, the HC6000v2 is highly adjustable with 12ft sensor cables that provide the user with complete control of where the pump turns on and turns off. Built-in alarms will alert you if there is a problem with the pump or the discharge plumbing.
No moving parts in the pit ensures reliability. Sensors do not need to be cleaned and work in water with high iron or high mineral content when paired with the HydroCheck Installation Kit. The HC6000v2 is a versatile, heavy-duty switch that is rated for 1 HP, 15 Amps and can be used in hydroponics, aquariums, rain harvesting, etc.
The built-in anti-airlock feature will make 2 attempts to clear an airlock by shutting the pump off briefly if the sensor is still detecting water after the pump has run for 20 seconds.
How It Works
The placement of the sensors determine when the control module turns the pump on, and when it turns the pump off. Following the sequence below, the operation is as follows:
1. When the water is below both sensors, the pump is off.
2. The pump is off when the water is above the Black Sensor (Lo-Sensor), but hasn't reached the Red Sensor (Hi-Sensor).
3. When the water reaches the Red Sensor (Hi-Sensor), the pump is turned on.
4. The pump stays on while the water is between the sensors.
5. The pump is turned off when the water drops below the Black Sensor (Lo-Sensor).
ACHIEVE COMPLETE CONTROL OF SUMP PUMP CYCLE TIME W/ 12FT SENSOR CABLES:
The Hi-Lo dual-sensor design maximizes the pump’s performance by allowing it to run longer, more efficient cycles. Fewer cycles = Less wear and tear on the pump and decreased energy consumption that can lower your electric bill!
COMPATIBLE WITH ALL SUMP PUMP APPLICATIONS:
Versatile and easy to install, the HC6000v2 works with all sump pump systems (< 15 Amps) and can replace any existing float switch. Ideal for narrow or crowded pits!
BUILT-IN ALARMS SOUND WHEN A PROBLEM OCCURS:
Achieve the ultimate peace of mind with built-in alarms that will sound to alert you to problems such as pump failure, high water, blocked discharge pipe, weak ground, and more! All alarms can be individually muted or silenced using the Smart Button.
NO CLEANING* & NO MOVING PARTS:
Sensors are unaffected by minerals or debris in the water when installed with the HydroCheck Sensor Installation Kit. The electronic control module provides the ultimate reliability by eliminating moving parts that can seize up or fail.

Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Sump Pump Expert
Hallo Jim,
CH6000 & CH8000 - witch one to use on a basement sump pump?
Igor.

Answer
Either one will work on a 120V, 14 max amp rated sump pump. The HC6000 gives you the ability to fine-tune your ON & OFF activation points by providing a sensor for each activation point. The HC8000 provides you with a single sensor that is used to activate your pump. Once activated, the pump will evacuate water till the pump loses prime or starts sucking air.

Yes, the sensor could be mounted facing up instead of down without any problems. The sensors are completely sealed, so they can be mounted in any orientation you like.
