Great Sawmill Saw
By Michael L.

I recently purchased a Logosol F2+ chainsaw mill. My Echo Wolf (20"), though a great saw, did not have the umph needed to get the best out of my mill.
This beast does a great job. I am happy with the purchase now that I've had time to use it for about 3 months now. It is a bit cranky to start at times but from what I've read, rather common for a chainsaw of this size. Not sure this is a saw for the average homeowner - but I love it for my non-commercial use based on my needs.

Great Saw Overall

This is the second 395xp I've purchased and used them long enough to give a solid review. One small issue on this saw ordered a 28" bar with .058 drive links and it came in as a .050. Not a real issue as I run .050 on other saws as well, just not as ordered. Never contacted the company because I had used it before I noticed the size and figured it wasn't worth the trouble to swap out etc. As far as the saws are concerned they run great plenty of power start easy and perform as expected. I always check all bolts and connections before putting any brand saw in use and have had no problems with the muffler etc. as others are experiencing. Also as far as the adjusting screw for the chain tension I've been running saws for over 50 years and used to the front screw and use a screwdriver not the all purpose wrench given and works fine for me. I have a box that keeps all tools and spare plugs etc. So no issue and the only thing I would like to see is a greaseable roller on the nose of the bar. just used to the old saws that were. to much trouble changing noses.
yes it is expensive but better than others just remember the good ole days when a grand got you what you needed.

Big Saw Cuts Big Wood!

Here are some pros and cons of this saw that I checked out before making my decision on this saw:
Straight out of the box ran like a champ-- Possibly does need a tweak on the carb because of the climate I am in, but it does run good.
Lots of power.:LOTS of power. 28 inch bar is nothing for this saw. It is like taking a 460 Rancher and putting a 16 inch bar on it. All I am saying is a this saw sounds like a motorcycle at idle. With all the compression this saw has I am trying to find 100 octane racing fuel for this.
I don't like where the chain tightening screw is, It is where the bar sticks out down on the bottom of the saw. Can barely get to it with a screwdriver let alone a wrench.
I have got to get use to putting the chain on correctly--but overall this saw is awesome. It is a very heavy saw but then again its a 94 cc saw.

Mixed Review - One Part Bad, One Part Good

This saw is well known - but here are a few things to be cautious about. The bolts and screw that hold the muffler/exhaust on come loose and the muffler on mine cracked along with the brace that holds it within 12 hours of use. The crew that holds the choke lever came loose also. The top-end case screws also vibrated loose.
Pretty solid saw with great power - bad assembly.

This Saw Is A Powerhouse!

I needed a big saw for our tree business, and I am 100% happy I picked this saw. It has amazing power and makes short work of large trees. It starts easy and handles well. The only thing I don’t like is the chain tensioner being on the front of the saw. Otherwise, the build quality and cutting speed are fantastic. A great saw, I highly recommend it.

I have several chainsaws and needed something bigger than 20", so I went with the 395XP after reading lots of reviews and advice on various forums. I really like this saw, it is very powerful and seems to be very well built. It handles the 28" bar great and I eventually plan to use a 32" bar with a rip chain for slabbing logs. This saw will have no problem with that.
