Husqvarna (46") Rapid Release Mulching Blade

When I saw that these blades were finally available, I was ecstatic and ordered them immediately. Upon receiving them, I was slightly apprehensive, because they were duller than a door nail! They appeared to have been slightly sharpened, then painted, all over, including the "blade edge", but I installed them and cut a small section of my lawn. The edges of the grass were ragged, and appeared to be whipped to death, rather than cut cleanly.

I removed the blades, sharpened them by hand with a file, reinstalled them, and they work great! I was cutting off almost 2" of grass, and afterwards, I couldn't find any large clippings.

They work great, but require some work with a file prior to use.
