Product QuestionsAnswered by Jared, the Generator Expert
We are looking for a panel with switch where we could have our sump pump, refrigerator, and furnace connected to our power supply however, if there is a outage, throw the switch and start our portable generator. Is this the right product or are we looking at the wrong thing?

Answer
Thank you for your interest in Electric Generators Direct!
The Generac, 6334 100-amp load center is designed to handle a single circuit rated up to 100 amps. In this regard, it would be suitable to provide power to those select items, should they all remain on the same circuit. If these circuits are separate, then you will need a transfer panel that contains at least as many circuits as you wish to support.
As a good substitute for this 100 amp panel, we would recommend one of the Reliance Controls, 100 Amp Transfer Panels
