I have not had any of the issues I read about these compressors, specifically in regards to shipping. The pressure gauge was fine when mine showed up. It was shipped by R+L Carriers, who did a great job. It's noise level is exactly what I expected. I don't consider it loud, but I do keep it in a separate room in my garage, so your opinion may differ. There were no air leaks whatsoever. I am a mechanic by trade, and this runs those types of air tools with ease. I'm sure for body work it would be on the small side. It does come with oil in it, it's just hard to see because it's clean. Seems like the best 30 gallon compressor for the money.

*Backflow valve was leaking - no thread seal and threads were stripped and needed to be repaired. *1/4 inch nipple connecting the control switch to the tank had no thread sealer and leaked. *Model not listed in instruction doc - was not clear if shipped with oil - tried to call ADC and they could not find the answer and gave me CH customer service - CH customer service never answered the phone - on hold over 30 minutes both times I tried to call them. *Drained oil and measured it to inspect and found a roll pin in the oil. *No break in procedure in manual. *Manual shows dipstick - no dipstick. *Shipping took 3 days longer than advertised.

    I Needed The Right CFM
    By Motorcyclist

    Purchased 10/30/2024 |
    Review Posted 01/07/2025
I bought this compressor for several reasons.
    1. I needed a certain minimum amount of CFM and volume in order to blow out my sprinkle system.
    2. I needed volume to to run a few air tools on to blow off saw dust from wood working projects.
    3. Although this compressor isn't the cheapest option available it is one of the more affordable compressors that also received good customer reviews.

If the price was the same as when I bought it, I would buy this compressor again.

    High Quality Compressor

    Review Posted 12/05/2024
The compressor was delivered well mounted and packed on a pallet. This is an excellent compressor. The negatives are the oil sight glass is lacking. You cannot see the oil. The paperwork including the parts list is for other compressors and does not state if the oil is shipped already installed or not.
I added oil and never could tell from looking at the sight glass. I ended up having to drain it and tilt the compressor on its side and finally saw a movement in the oil level. From now on I am going to use a measuring cup to get the 8.5 oz exact.

The compressor was delivered without any problems. However, the sight gauge for the oil is a pain. I have no idea how much oil it required or is in it now. They show a dip stick in the manual, but an email to customer service requesting information was ignored. It’s stressful when the company will not answer an easy question.

    My First Campbell Compressor

Took a couple days to get shipping moving but they gave several updates (to be expected). Arrived in pristine condition, courteous driver. I had already downloaded owner manual which also came with compressor. Glad I had previous experience setting up and operating this type equipment.
The concern was that neither manual matched the unit. Pictures were wrong. Capacities for needed oil were wrong, compressor was not even listed. Why does Campbell not keep their literature up to date? Ran through break-in without any problems. Power cord is a good fit. Bought for private use so should last a long time. Not real loud in open area shop and runs smoothly. Good price from Air Compressors Direct

I received my compressor in perfect condition. It was on a skid but not secured to it. There were provisions to mount it but they were not used. The box and skid were in good condition. Shipping was fast. I did the 30 minute break in and checked the oil. All good here for now.

Great compressor, lots of air and built very well. This replaces a 30 year old 5 hp craftsman 33 gal that died due to tank corrosion. I believe this compressor will give me another 30 years of service. Thanks, Campbell Hausfield
