POWER EQUIPMENT DIRECT "MOWER MADNESS" CONTEST
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
CONTEST DATES: March 18^th, 2019 - April 8th, 2019

 

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN

No purchase necessary to enter. Making a purchase does not increase your chances of winning. Open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age and older. All federal, state and local regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.

2. CONTEST OVERVIEW

To enter, visit the official "Mower Madness" contest at www.MowersDirect.com/MowerMadness and submit your mower brand selections. To be eligible, participants must submit a valid email address. No purchase necessary to enter or win. Must be a US resident (Lower 48) states. Eligibility will be based on entering the contest before it ends and not the total amount of correct selections. The Contest Period will be divided into Rounds.

• Round 1: Starts on March 18^th at 8 am CST and ends on March 21^st at 10 am CST
• Round 2: Starts on March 21^st at 10:30 am CST and ends on March 25^th at 10 am CST
• Round 3: Starts on March 25^th at 10:30 am CST and ends on March 28^th at 10 am CST
• Round 4: Starts on March 28^th at 10:30 am CST and ends on April 1^st at 10 am CST
• Round 5: Starts on April 1^st at 10:30 am CST and ends on April 4^th at 10 am CST
• Round 6: Starts on April 4^th at 10:30 am CST and ends on April 8^th at 10 am CST

Participants can submit their email for entry during each Round. Each submission will serve as an entry. Only one entry will be allowed per email per Round.

 

3. SPONSOR

The Contest is sponsored by Power Equipment Direct, Inc.

 

4. CONTEST DATES

The Contest begins on March 18th, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. Central Standard Time ("CST") and ends on April 8th, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. (the "Contest Period"). The website server is the official clock for this Contest.

 

5. TO ENTER

To enter, visit www.MowersDirect.com/MowerMadness and vote for the brands that you want to advance to the next round. To be eligible participants must submit a valid email address. Participants may enter their email each Round during the Contest Period. All entries will be added to the pool of Participants at the end of the Contest from which one winner will be selected.

 

6. CONTEST WINNER SELECTION

One (1) winner will be selected from among all eligible Entries received by 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the Contest Period (April 8th, 2019). The winner will be selected randomly from the pool of participants that have entered the contest. The Contest judges will have the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this Contest, and their decisions with respect to the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning the Contest depend on the number of eligible Entries received.

 

7. PUBLICATION

Entrant understands and agrees his/her contest submission may receive exposure on Sponsor's website, one of Sponsor's network sites and/or other social websites, platforms and media as Sponsor determines in its sole discretion and may be subjected to comments and popularity ratings from the public at large. Sponsor is not responsible in any manner for any critical or derogatory remarks posted by the public pertaining to an entrant.

 

8. DECISIONS AND RULE AMENDMENTS

Sponsor's decisions regarding all Contest matters are final and non-appealable. All submissions are subject to these Official Rules and all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Sponsor's decisions. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to amend these Official Rules at any time and Sponsor will post the revised rules on Sponsor's website. The Official Rules in effect at whatever time the Entry is judged will apply.

 

9. LOST OR INCOMPLETE ENTRIES; WEBSITE

Sponsor is not responsible for Internet system and hardware failures; delayed, incomplete or unsuccessful transmission of email address or entry information; technical malfunctions of any kind; human error; information loss and downtime; or any costs, losses, liability or damages resulting from any such failures. In the event of any such technical difficulty, malfunction or error, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take such actions as it deems appropriate in keeping with the fairness and integrity of the Contest, including without limitation a determination to take no action.

 

10. ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age and older. Employees of Power Equipment Direct, Inc., each of its respective parent, subsidiary, vendors, and affiliated companies and anyone involved in the production or administration of the Contest, as well as the immediate family/same household members of any of the foregoing individuals are not eligible to enter or to win any prizes. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses, regardless of where they live. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three (3) non-consecutive months a year, whether related or not.

 

11. PRIZES AND VALUES

Grand Prize: One (1) new walk behind lawn mower with a current retail value of up to $500. If the total amount is below $500 any difference between the cost of the lawn mower and $500 will be forfeited and will not be subject to additional compensation. Store credit only, no cash payout.

 

12. NOTIFICATION

The winner of the Mower Madness Lawn Mower Prize will be notified by Sponsor via email. Prizes will be awarded to the entrant up to 90 days after the winning contestant has been chosen, provided the entrant certify and establish to Sponsor's satisfaction that the entrant is the owner(s) of the email address, provide a shipping address, and further provided that they have complied with the Official Rules and any other forms as determined by Sponsor.

 

13. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

By submitting an Entry, each entrant agrees to release, discharge, defend and hold harmless Power Equipment Direct, Inc. and each of its respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and each of its respective licensees, assigns, officers, directors, employees, members, partners, agents and representatives, from and against any claim, expense or liability arising from or related to submission, exhibition or exploitation of the Entry or participation in this Contest.

 

14. LIABILITY FOR TAXES

Winners of any Grand Prize are solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes.

 

15. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Illinois. Each entrant consents and agrees to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts of the State of Illinois, located in Will County. 

 

16. GENERAL CONDITIONS

If the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including without limitation, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify, or terminate the Contest. If the Contest is terminated, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to not award a Grand Prize.
