Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Sump Pump Expert
Does it really draw 43 amps?
Jerry
from Kentucky
December 31, 2018
Answer
Yes, at startup. Running amps are 10.4. That said, while most manufacturers will list the running and starting amps for their pumps, they also recommend that all electrical connections be done in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all state and local codes.

Just installed the N267. Is it ok for the water level to go above the power cord on the pump?
Stephan K.
from New York

Answer
It's no problem at all. The pumps and power cords are sealed for submersible use. Just make sure that the pump is plugged into a dedicated circuit/outlet at least 4 feet above ground level.

Will level guard work if I get an orange build up in my sump pit over a year or two?
Evan Tuxbury
from Massachusetts
November 20, 2017
Answer
It really depends on how much buildup you get. It should work but it may need cleaning periodically if it is really heavy. We've dealt with customers with iron in their water and they are happy if they only have to clean the switch every two months! Others may not have to clean it but once every year or so.

Will this pump work as a sewer ejection pump for a basement bathroom or do I need a 'grinder' pump?
Bryan W.
from Michigan
May 02, 2017
Answer
Hello Bryan. In most cases, a standard SEWAGE PUMP will do the job for you. If however, you expect problems from people flushing something other than normal sewage, like baby wipes, towels, feminine products, etc., a GRINDER PUMP would be more effective.
