Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Sump Pump Expert
Will this pump work as a sewer ejection pump for a basement bathroom or do I need a 'grinder' pump?
Bryan W.

Answer
Hello Bryan. In most cases, a standard SEWAGE PUMP will do the job for you. If however, you expect problems from people flushing something other than normal sewage, like baby wipes, towels, feminine products, etc., a GRINDER PUMP would be more effective.

Can I go from the 2 inch outlet to the 3 inch PVC on my N267? If so, how close to the pump should I make the change?
Greg A.

Answer
By all means you can go from 2" to 3"! You can always go larger but you NEVER want to go smaller. Increasing to 3" will improve your flow rate and pump performance which should translate to a longer pump life. It's best to make that change as close to the pump as possible. If you can, make the adaption right at the pump discharge port. Heck, this pump should last over 30+ years.

does the zoeller pump have a capacitor in it?

Answer
Thank you for your interest in Sump Pumps Direct. The Zoeller 267 Series pump does NOT contain a capacitor. It works off a relay start rather than a capacitor start motor.
