Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Water Pump Expert
is it quiet?? I want a pump for my cabin (home) It will be mounted under the kitchen sin and suck water from our spring ~ 100' away and 6' elevation drop. It will suck thru a Culligan 5 micron filter and feed the kitchen- hot water tank, faucet and dishwasher . we bought a Bosch DW supposed to be real quiet. We want a quiet. pump.
What do you recommend???

No, since these pumps are rated for either 120V or 240V, the wiring connections would be the responsibility of the installer.

What is the maximum depth of a "shallow" well pump? I want to use an on top pump if possible and my well is 150 ft. deep

Answer
Thank you for visiting Water Pumps Direct. In answer to your question, the maximum suction or depth that a shallow well pump can handle is 25 feet. A CONVERTIBLE JET PUMP can handle depths of up to 90 feet, max. In your case, the only option would be a DEEP WELL submersible pump, providing that you can get a 4" diameter pump into your well.
