Product Questions Answered by Jim, the Water Pump Expert
Will a 5/8" garden hose work with this pump?

If I was to water a garden with this pump, would the pressure of the hose turning on and off be bad for the pump?

I think I need an anti-siphon valve for this pump, which I received from you a couple of weeks ago. It works very well, but recently has started short-cycling (I think) because the water in the discharge hose is flowing back into the reservoir and causing the pump to start up again for a moment. Do you recommend such a valve that can be used with the 3/4" hose adapter?

Would this Wayne EEAUP250 pump be an appropriate and feasible long-term solution to a window well that fills with heavy rains and leaks into an unfinished basement? It is under a deck with very little clearance so exterior window access is very difficult and I'd like to leave it in place year-round. This is in Kansas so winters are frequently freezing and summers are regularly in the 90's. Also, the house has no exterior drainage or sump pump in place but I'm trying to minimize costs if possible. Thanks!

I want to set a portable pump in a low spot on a concrete driveway that will pump water out to the street. I would like it to pump to about 1/2 inch. The water seldom gets above 5 inches. But I would like to leave it unattended overnight. Is there a pump that will turn itself off and on as the water rises or lowers?
