Good Lawnmower With Quirky Handle That Does Not Fold
By Philip V.

Review Posted 09/08/2020
This is my sixth lawnmower and second self-propelled one. The rear-wheel-drive is superior to the front-wheel-drive on my last mower. My daughter commented that this mower has a lot more suction than the last one from another brand.
The downside of the suction is that I have a gravel driveway that is 100 feet long, and my last mower mulched leaves and debris on it perfectly. This one sucks up the gravel either on a low or higher wheel setting and spits it out or into the bag if in that mode.
It actually sent one piece of gravel into her forehead in the first minute of use (no injury), but we will not use it to get to our back yard down the gravel path again with the engine.
Overall, a good product for cutting grass with a powerful engine. I would buy a mover with more than a single-speed next time. It does not fold for storage.

I needed a new mower, and wanted a brand that I knew was reliable and strong. I also wanted a mulching mower. This Toro is a really great mulcher.
When I ordered the mower, I thought I was getting the push-button start, but it arrived with the typical pull-cord: that was a bit of a disappointment to my shoulder, but this mower starts quickly. Just double-check, if you want the push-button start before you finalize your order.
The mower came with a bottle of oil. I'd recommend you use a funnel to pour it in. The cap warns against any gasoline that is more than E10, but most of the gas stations in my area sell E10 and lower, including ethanol-free (which is expensive). On a full tank, I get about an hour+ worth of mowing.
I like the self-propelled feature, it does reduce my total mowing time. The mower can be a little difficult to pull back, as it prefers to go forward. The feature also makes the mower a little heavier than others.
The mower shipped quickly, and it arrived in pretty good shape for cross-country shipping and was easy to get fully assembled (putting the handle in position, etc).
Overall, I'm satisfied and would give it an 8.5 out of 10.

This Was A Great Purchase!

I couldn’t be happier with my choice when I picked this Self Propelled Lawn Mower and you will be just as happy if you choose to buy this one too. I love the rear wheel drive and how you control the speed with your walk. The only negative thing I can say is when I received my new mower from UPS and was putting it together I found that Toro failed to supply me with one (1) bolt for the handle. However, I went to the hardware store and bought one for $1.25.

A little hard to adjust. I think the wheel adjusting levers should have been made of a more rigid material.

Totally Dissatisfied

It started on the third pull but after about 10 meters, the left rear drive wheel fell off. I found it very difficult to reattach. After I put it back on, the mower was very difficult to maneuver. The self-propel is not working. I want to return this mower for a more expensive Honda.
