Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. This product is a major disappointment and It really can not handle more than 2 to three inches of snow. I will never again buy such a stupid product. I'm laughing at these great reviews since I know its all a bunch of crap.

The battery cover keeps opening while using the unit. Have to use a rubber band to keep it closed while using the unit. What a joke this snow blower is. I've had it for 2 years now, and I'm gonna get rid of it and buy an Ego snowblower since that company makes good products and they last. Snow Joe equals more shoveling and a major ripoff.

Needed snow blower to use on wood deck

I have a large deck, and didn't want to mar the wood with a snow shovel, and sweeping was too labor intensive. Wet heavy snow is a little harder to remove, but it just takes doing smaller paths. I have recommended the snow blower to others that find snow removal labor intensive, because of age, and amount of snow to remove.

I'm in my mid-fifties and although I should probably be more concerned with a Heart Attack, the problem I have every year it snows heavily is the sore back, neck and shoulders I suffer for days after the shoveling. I finally decided to give this Snow Joe iON a go. First, allow me to point out that this thing would be perfect for dry, fluffy snow up to twelve inches. It's rated at eight inches.

But after this latest round of Snowmaggedon, dumping nearly two feet of wet, heavy, sloppy snow, the Snow Joe was struggling. The chute kept getting clogged up with the wet, sloppy stuff and I had to constantly stop and clear it to continue. But you know what? Despite those delays, I got the entire eight car capacity driveway done in less that forty (40) minutes.

With the large standard snow shovels I used to use, it took two hours to do half the driveway and then I required doses of Ibuprofen pain reliever, a hot bath and heating pads, plus several days of being uncomfortable. With the Snow Joe iON, despite the wet, heavy, sloppy stuff, I could go about my business without the pain and discomfort. I recommend it.

I'm a landscape and snow removal contractor in NH, and have snow contracts with a lot of stairs and walkways. I wanted a lightweight snow thrower that may help me with shoveling, even though this winter has been a light snow winter for us. The Snow Joe has helped save me on some of the walk shoveling as I wanted it to. It handles about what I expected the Snow Joe to handle, according to your website.

I know it's not a commercial machine, and I am using it for light commercial applications. I'm not sure how long it will hold up, but time will tell. So far, I am happy with it.

Purchased the iON 2 years ago and never expected to use it on 30 inches of snow. Yes it was light snow, but between tilting the unit up and pulling the snow down with a shovel, it did the job.

The Snow Joe iON 18" cordless electric snow blower works pretty good when there is only 2-3 inches of snow on the ground. It does not work well at all when there is more than 3 inches of snow on the ground, it is virtually useless after a big snow storm that dumped a mere 8 inches to a foot of snow to the ground. It does not have enough power to do the job, thus, I don't recommend it to anyone who live in the area when there is a potential of a big snow fall.
