Bought the bagger for my rear engine rider and am quite pleased with it. Does the job and went together with little effort.

It needs to find a way to stick more firmly to the collection part of bag at the bottom to the rear rider lawn mower.

Snapper high vac bagger

Easy buy, free shipping, and a rebate! Outstanding service.
Got the bagger, about 45 minutes to get it on the mower. For the most part fairly solid construction. Worst part is the pipe going from the deck to the bagger. HUGE pain to remove when grass gets clogged.
All that being said, I bought it to pick up leaves and it saved me two full days of raking and the lawn looks better than it did in the summer. It is truly like a vacuum!

Instead of those cheap press fit screws covers given to hold the plastic cover to the frame, just remove the metal pegs and give bolts and screws. How much more could that cost? Only three of out the five would even attach no matter how hard I pushed. When this kind of thing happens, I feel like I bought a cheap product from someone who doesn't care if its assembly correctly or not.

I bought this (from my local Snapper dealer, not MowersDirect) to pick up fall leaves. For ordinary mowing in the summer I use the excellent Ninja mulching blade. My suggestions:
1. Mulch your grass anyway: the Ninja blade does a good job. If you do, discard the discharge chute (but not the hinge plate) and replace with the Snapper mulching plate to cover the discharge hole.
2. Anyway, the bagger (for grass or leaves)... It took me about 2 hours to put together (including changing my blade from mulching to standard high-lift, which is actually tricky). Assembly is not difficult, just fussy.
3. At the tube-connection step at the end, take a hacksaw to the connector tube and cut off about 1 inch to make it easier to insert into the chute. The very last step--the debris shield--looks like a design afterthought and is difficult to attach with everything in place (as the instructions direct). I didn't try. I found it worked fine without it.
4. In use, the drier the grass and leaves the better of course. (Though mine worked pretty well on damp Maple leaves, as long as I took less than a full-width path through them.) 1/4 acre of 2 Maples, 1 Oak and several Pines took less than an hour, and the remaining grass got well mixed with the chopped leaves and needles for good compost.
5. The dead-easy bag slide-out is very good, and this thing holds a lot. That's why it's so wide but it will go through a standard 40-in gateway.
6. Also good is the very easy bag-frame removal, for compact storage.

I took me about 3 hrs to install this on my 28" Snapper ride-on. A bit of a pain, but OK. I also changed back from my regular mulcher blade to the original high-lift blade. Once installed...wow, does this thing pick up stuff. I bought it for leaf pick-up. It fills the (large) bag in just 3-4 minutes, with barely a leaf left on the grass: excellent!

The box had been opened and it appeared that someone had tried to install it on a mower, however, it had never been used.

The bagger works well and is well made. Instructions for assembly are poor when it comes to putting on the dust shield.
