4250 Swx Mower
Have used this mower two seasons. Have had no trouble. Love the heavy deck and mulcher. My local dealer set it up for me and it has been trouble free. I have a small trickle battery that I put on the battery a month before season starts. This helps so that the battery stays in good shape and will always be charged.
Pros: Easy To Use, Reliable, High Quality, I'd Buy It Again
Cons: Expensive

Transmission Problem Right Off The Bat
The mower cuts very well, steers easily, is relatively quiet, and the mulch kit works very well. However, it immediately developed a transmission problem. The mower will slow down (without me moving my throttle foot), and after a moment I hear a "clunk" and it goes back to normal speed. I know it is under warranty, but it will take the dealer 4 weeks for me to get it repaired.

I hope this is not a sign of more problems.
Pros: Features, Easy To Use
Cons: Unreliable

Over Engineered And Under Thought
Bought this mower beginning of the summer, and used it once. Most of the crankcase oil drained out while using it, The easy oil drain was not installed correctly. Didn't use it for a couple of months and would not start. Battery was dead. The neatly designed automatic break is a parasite.

If not used regularly or stored for the winter it will drain the battery. Once this happens it is impossible to release the automatic break to push it. Also with the battery connected and charged... more
