Purchase 25000 Model Instead
The 24000 model has one glaring PROBLEM! The wireless controller does NOT work very well. I've had the 24000 for less than 2 months and am on the third combo receiver/fob set. Out of warranty this will set you back $100. It's very frustrating when using the wireless controller and it ONLY works intermittently! Meyer knows of this but has stated that they have NO plans to come out with a wired unit. Meyer customer service has been great in quickly sending replacements but their solution to the wireless controller is to have someone rewire the plow for wired control. Of course this will void your 1 year warranty. So, save yourself this problem and spend the extra $300 for the 25000 model, where you get the choice of wired or wireless control. Also if you still get the 24000 expect to immediately have to replace the key fob batteries, another problem Meyer knows about but hasn't done anything about.

This Plow Was Junk
Bought it in Jan 2012 The motor worked three times, then I took it to a Meyers dealer in Grove City and was told the motor was bad. They could not get it covered under warranty although it was less than a year old.

Meyer Home Plow #24000
No problems with Snow Blowers Direct, GREAT shopping experience. Have purchased from them before and HIGHLY recommend buying from them! Snow plow a little too expensive, price needs to be reduce by at least $200 (price controlled by Meyer). Weight means you really should pay extra for lift gate service and have at least 3 to 4 friends around (you're dealing with approx. 400 lbs.).
Now as to the plow..... not a bad unit, simple, easy to use, works as advertised. I gave it a 3 star rating for Quality because of the problems with the wireless control. At first the unit wouldn't operate at all, called Meyer, was told to replace batteries in the key fob. Problem solved but wait! Now up or down feature sometimes quits working when in use and you have to release button and press again to continue. Will say customer service at Meyer was great, sent new batteries and am now waiting for a new receiver and key fob to replace the originals. Asked Meyer if could buy a wired controller but unfortunately they don't make one for the Home Plow unit. So in closing, I still recommend unit for home use and again recommend buying from Snow Blowers Direct.
CAUTION: if you purchase a Curt hitch to use with this plow be aware that model # must start with a 3. All their front hitches start with a 3 and rears with a 1. Also the holes may NOT be drilled large enough and the flat washers are too large (outside diameter) and the bolts are just a little too short! I have a Nissan Frontier and an installation that should have taken less than 30 minutes (by myself) took over 90 minutes! No problems with Snow Blowers Direct, GREAT shopping experience. Homeplow Not Worth It!
Bought the Homeplow from Sears, installed quick on my Jeep Wrangler and used for two months, eight times total. More broken pieces on this under welded, thin tin p.o.s. than you can imagine. I am a welder and a metal fabricating nut.....I bought this because I have all of 60 feet of concrete driveway at the cabin and thought what the heck, nothing major just the driveway. The thing needed constant attention in repairs, I welded more on this than it would have been if I just made my own....and I eventually did. Loved Meyer Products until this. Completely disappointed in the half wit engineering that went into this. Low quality welds where it's most important, thin cold rolled steel where it needs much heavier stock. The blade is a joke, the attachments to the yoke is down right dangerous and u channel folds with a six inch wrench. Made by Meyer as a joke on the consumer who thought throwing 2k at a plow would be worth it. It's not. Buy something, anything else.
