This unit is poorly designed and leaks badly from the quick disconnect coupling which is made of plastic! You cannot use a pipe wrench to tighten or you would damage it. It cost me $45.00 to ship back with the lowest U.S. postal service rate, and I am now fighting to get that reimbursed. Stay away!

I respectfully contradict some of the information in your review. This unit is covered by a 2 year consumer-use Factory Warranty through Karcher, and is part of their Rapid Exchange Program. It covers defect in materials and workmanship like a leaky connector.
I checked your file, and you apparently didn't want to use Karcher's Warranty; you wanted to send the unit back to us instead. Our Return Policy link is at the bottom of our website, and clearly details the terms of the return. We usually suggest using UPS or FedEX since their rates are lower, and there are multiple locations of each company in your town.
Since you were so upset about the shipping rate, we were able to make a special arrangement that would save you most of the shipping charge and we emailed you about it last week. Your refund will be sent as soon as we receive the sticker we requested.
Thanks for the feedback. Both Power Equipment Direct and we here at Kärcher are committed to supporting our consumers and provide multiple channels of contact for any questions or concerns.
Many products today are built from composites which are lighter and stronger than many metals. If the machine is dropped, the quick connect will also break more easily than a metal one which could instead break the internal connection costing much more to repair than simply replacing the quick connect. We replace such connectors free of charge.
If the quick connect is attached in reverse or without the included O-rings, you could see a water leak at the garden hose connection. A simple fix. The included assembly instructions assist in providing the correct way to attach these.
Bought a similar remanufactured unit from a clearance store 10 years ago. Worked quite well for my needs. Let my son use it, came back leaking slightly at pressure switch connection- not sure what he did to it. it leaked enough the pressure switch would not shut it off. I tried to repair it with no success.
I am going to save the pump parts should I have an issue with the new one, probably 120 hours or more of run time.
Pros:Features, Price, Exceeded Expectations, I'd Buy It Again

The 2 most common causes of leaks in electric pressure washers are 1) not turning the unit off at the switch when you walk away; and 2) letting the unit freeze in cold weather.
Page 9 of the Owner's Manual, under "Taking A Break" advises users not to leave the unit running for longer than 5 minutes without turning it off at the switch.
Page 10 of the Owner's Manual advises storing the unit inside where it won't freeze, and using Pump Guard to drive moisture out and keep the pump seals lubricated.
