Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Water Pump Expert
What is the best way to prime this pump before using? Is there a built in check valve on the inlet side?
Chris M.
from Michigan
June 08, 2017
Answer
Read our How-To guide on Priming a Well Pump. Otherwise, all installation instructions including priming are available in the Product Manual. You would need to install a foot or check valve on the suction side in order to keep the pump primed.

What size tank do I need with this pump?
Byron T.
from Georgia
May 11, 2017
Answer
Tanks for shallow or deep well applications are typically sized based on a minimum 3 times your GPM requirements. So for example, if you NEED 12GPM, you should have a minimum 36 gallon pressure tank.
