  1 Question
Q: do you have chainsaw covers and extra chains
by Wendy from New York on October 29, 2011

A: You can find replacement chains (and bars) by clicking on the Accessories tab at the top of our web site; then just click on the picture of a chain to see everything we carry.

We also have 20-inch & 16-inch chain saw covers available. On the same Accessories page as the chains, just click on Cases in the far right Additional column; or follow this link:

Avoid This Little Beasty!
The first use was great, thought I'd found what I was looking for, now I spend more time trying to start it than cutting. Called the store and the comment back was "that's what they are" so its just not me. I have been cutting wood for 25 plus years and this is by far the worst running and starting saw I have ever seen. I guess Poulan told me in the instructions though, it says "keep pulling until it starts!"
Pros: None Just A Chain Saw, First Use Was Great
Cons: Difficult To Use, Unreliable, Chair Bar Always Loosening, Spend More Time Trying To Start Then Cutting

Love It
I cut Almond trees for approx. 8 hours, it worked great, it didn't matter how large or small the three or branch was it cut it like butter, mind you you the tree was green.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Price, I'd Buy It Again
Cons: None

Decent Saw For The Cost
I have been purchasing Poulan 14" Saws for gathering wood, keeping my home stocked with wood and also enough to sell several cords a year.

The 14" are good for about three solid years without replacement and that is with a whole lot of use. I have been through about three saws now and have each of them re-using parts as needed.

If you're looking for a fairly reliable saw and do not intend on using the saw very much, be sure and dump out the fuel and make the mixtures properly,... more

No Problems
I have been using for a year now, no complaints. I don't know who wrote all the negative reviews, but I was recently given another one from my uncle's estate. I now have two. Pump the primer bulb six times, full choke. When it fires, move to half choke. Both start and run well, the second one despite having nasty old gas left in it. No complaints, cutting Pecan for months. Good saw, perfect for a small, home operation.
Pros: Price, Easy To Use, Quiet

Great For The Price
I didn't get this saw from this site I got it at a big box store. I would have if I'd known about this site I didn't really need a chainsaw I just thought it would be a cool addition to all my other yard tools which it is when you take it out of the box and put bar oil and gas-oil mix in it. It will be a little hard to start, that's because it's new but after 2 tanks of gas, starting problems go away. Just take it easy on the first few cuts, most starting problems can be taken care of by using... more

Not Happy
The chain saw started fine. But when I started cutting small limbs it would bog down. When I turned it on it's side, it would die. I am not happy with my purchase.

Sore Arm
I am in my third day of ownership. I have lost patience.

On day one, I tried starting it for well over an hour, on and off. I memorized the startup instructions. Still no success.

On day two, it fired once. It died before I could get going. At least another half hour was devoted to getting it to go.

Today, day three, it finally fired. I almost got all the way through a limb. I could not get it restarted.

It's Crap And So Is The Warranty!
From the time of purchase I had problems with the chain coming off. When I called and took it to local service center I got charged $37.98. I made the mistake of buying the extended warranty, but it turns out the warranty is useless. I just got off 1hour phone call with customer support, mostly on hold, and was basically told I'm on my own. DO NOT BUY this product.
Cons: Unreliable, Difficult To Use, Low Quality

Takes More Time To Try To Start Than Actually Working.
I have 25 acres in Oregon that require some cleaning and pruning of trees. So, I bought the smallest one because of its weight and the name is well respected by professionals. When I first started, it ran fine but the next time... and the next... I spent more time trying to start the machine than actually cutting wood and of course, you have some time waiting, resting and disliking the unit.
Pros: Price, Light Weight, Easy To Store
Cons: Low Quality, Difficult To Use, Bad Instructions, Durability

Bought And Returned
I bought this little chainsaw at a big box store and added the correct fluids. I started it as directed and despite eventually starting, it would always die. I cut 5 limbs from a small tree about 2 inches in diameter and then the chain broke off. As it turned out the chain was bent so I returned it. Got a second one within 24 hours and same story different verse. It won't stay started longer than 2 minutes. At least the chain didn't break, we'll at least not in the first hour it hasn't. Not... more

Ran For 20 Minutes
I bought this chainsaw from Meijers today to do some cleanup of fallen limbs. After 20 minutes of cutting limbs no more than 5 inches in diameter, I heard a clank, then the chain stopped and I could not start it again. The pull starter would not budge.
