I have a question regarding NexPump AiJet - Battery Backup Sump Pump System (3420 GPH@ 10'). How much amp it draws when it is charging the battery and when it runs on ac? I have a separate 15 amp line for both main and backup. My main takes 8 amp. So I am not sure if I can install this one with my main sump pump.
Which one do you prefer between NexPump AiJet - Battery Backup Sump Pump System (3420 GPH@ 10') and ION stormpro 35aci battery backup? why?

Answer
Thank you for your interest in Sump Pumps Direct. The NexPump AIJET will run on 2 amps from AC when charging at 20 amps and 0.5 amps from AC when charging at 5 Amps. When running direct off of AC power, it's 2-3 AMPS when pumps are running, maybe a little less.
Both the NexPump and iON systems are excellent and reliable systems but they each offer varying features. The NexPump system operates on a converted power and the iON system operates on an invertor.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
