Product QuestionsAnswered by Jim, the Water Pump Expert
If the pump says the outlet diameter is 1 1/4", can 1 1'2" pipe be used?
Frank C.
from California
May 04, 2017
Answer
It's NEVER a problem in increasing the piping diameter Frank. As long as the pump meets your specs and requirements and you're sizing the pump properly, you will be fine.

What is the difference between 2 wire and 3 wire 220V pumps, which is best
Harold
from Texas
July 05, 2016
Answer
Harold,
The difference between the 2 and 3 wire pumps is that the 2-wire (actually 3 because there is a ground) includes all the pump starting components inside the pump which is located down in the well. The 3-wire (actually 4 because there is a ground) connects to a control box above ground. this control box includes all the pump starting components, i.e, quick disconnect relay, overloads and capacitors so if there is a problem and one of those components is the cause of the pump failing, it is much easier to replace those components.
