can this unit be installed outside under cover?
we may have to build a pad for this unit as we are in a 1880s wood building.

Answer
None of the electric air compressors we sell are designed for outdoor installations. Some users will build a shelter with openings to allow air flow, but the life of the unit will be compromised.
