This mower cut my mowing time by 40 percent. Very well made. My mower has the Kawasaki engine which runs great.

Very Decent For A Small Flat Yard

It came with a nice big hole on the right rear tire, looked like a crating mistake. Runs with good power, deck ejects grass well, but the hanging deck will scalp if you don't watch it on uneven ground. Everything works well and not sorry I bought it for a backup system. I'm a Simplicity man at heart but could not chock down their price.

My mower was delivered on January 2, so I will write a follow-up review on the mower performance later in the Spring. Mowers Direct was great to work with. They are knowledgeable and did what they said they'd do. The mower came by semi-trailer with lift gate. Guys, you already got free shipping. Pay the extra $50 bucks for the lift gate service. It was shrink wrapped in a crate and the crate attached to a palette. The driver was great, he helped me and my wife pull the mower up the gravel drive with the palette jack. You will need a pry bar and either a circular saw or a sawzall to cut your way through the crate and then the palette. Not a big deal, just takes time and being careful. The set-up instructions were easy to understand. After you roll the mower off the palette, you'll need to wire the battery and add fuel - the mower came oiled up and tires at pressure. The mower started right up and ran great. After a good warm-up, I drove it around the yard for 20 minutes to make sure things were operating okay and used the mower deck to double check that. I highly recommend the Kawasaki motor - powerful, quiet and smooth. When we get into mowing season I'll write another review of the handling and cutting performance. I am very happy with the purchase and impressed with the company and equipment.

Great Mower- Issues After 5 Months
By Kevin C.
Cypress, Texas
Purchased 07/05/2017 |
Review Posted 01/12/2018
I get that there are sometimes issues with some products. After 5 months of use, the starter solenoid went out, I bypassed it with jumper cables to put it on the trailer but decided to mow the lawn one last time before I took it in and it died. Will crank by bypassing, but won't run. Checked the fuse, nothing. Guess we will see how the warranty goes.
Other than that, the machine is awesome. I love how quiet the Kawasaki motor runs. Power is amazing and nothing I have gone through slows it down. Feels very solid and is a lot of fun to run. Took my 3 and 1/2 hr push mow task down to an hour, but if I just want to hit the main parts of my yard, I can honestly do it in 20 minutes. Love the mower and hoping these little issues I have are easy minor fixes. If I don't have a repeat, I would bump up the quality to 5 stars. Still don't regret my purchase, especially in the summer heat.

ZERO Disappointments

I absolutely love the product. For me and my circumstances, the perfect cutting width, perfect durability, and perfect power.
While my only critique has nothing to do with the product, I will say that any zero turn does not do well with slippery slopes. It's the nature of the beast. But again, and I STRESS......not a Husky problem.

Good Deal All Around

This is my second zero turn, so not much of a learning curve.
The Husky is a replacement for a 17 year old Toro Time-cutter. Nothing last forever.
The power difference is unbelievable. I did have to relearn my yard. The cut is far superior to the old unit. Easy to operate, timing the steering was no problem, assembly (if you want to call it that) was bolting the seat on and attaching the steer handles, came with oil in the engine, so add gas and mow.
I opted to do a dock pickup, ABF was accommodating. The dock employee helped remove the crate and loaded it with the forklift, into the back of my truck.

This Is A Great Mower Somewhere Between Commercial & Residential
By Rex W.

The best advice I saw was to have a "saws-all" ready to UN-crate it and then bolt the seat and control arms on it. After that I expected to add gas and oil but found mine had oil , wondered if the battery was charged enough to start, and it was. It started right up but had a hard time driving off the "wheel chock" blocks nailed the the base of the crate.
I also bought arm rest and a mulch kit for grinding leaves this fall. I haven't used the mulch plate yet but I am unsure how secure the arm rest will be with time. "You bolt them on" with 4 bolts each side through the plastic seat back edges. The seat itself adjusts further back as needed for comfort with a quick change lever.
The Kawasaki engine is sweet and quiet, the best engine you can get. At this point I've only run it to 90% throttle and it cuts anything you want with ease.
The upgrades any one needs are available by buying direct with very little cost if you can have it delivered at a truck dock or lift gate. I'd rate my purchase between a mower you can get at a home store and a professional business mower at a great cost factor if your mowing a couple of acres with quality equipment.
All the reviews are great, but time will tell. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase and investment. I do think this is a good mower to invest in.
