6 Years Young & Gave It A Tune Up Today
By Tin H.

Review Posted 09/08/2018
I have mowed weekly (or better) for past 6 seasons and today I finally had to give it some TLC. Air filter was completely clogged, spark plug looked like a burnt marshmallow and drive belt was hanging by threads. Replaced all 3 and added a new blade and away we go. I may have been a first purchase guy in 2012 but the reviews here are just not accurate. NEVER not started, always plows through in high mulch days and still looks like new. The one lever deck height adjustment is still my favorite. Hope to write a review again in year 12!

bought to replace my 10 year old lowes brand push mower only easy thing was the assembly & start.. after that all down hill.... drive was horrible mobility is awkward around corners after 25-30 minutes I cut off & pulled the old lowe's model pushmower out and finished with ease.... I should have googled first and read all the terrible reviews (not only here) all over Google ...btw.. the blade was rusty as can be!!!

Repair shop's dream mower
By Ed D.

Review Posted 07/14/2016
This is my third summer with this overpriced piece of junk. Looks like it is bound for the shop once again. Which would be the third time in three years.
Last summer it was in the shop for six weeks. This is probably the last straw since the muffler and who knows what else just fell off. I always respected the Husqvarna nameplate but that was before I actually owned one.

Very Disappointing

- Just before the second anniversary, the drive system broke down. Dealer took more than THREE WEEKS to get parts and repair. On the very next use, drive system broke down again with same problem. Dealer took 2+ more weeks to get parts and repair it. Glad it has a 3 year warranty.
- "Easy Start" engine requires about 8 to 10 pulls to start unless I put a few drops of gas on the air filter.
- On the thick St. Augustine grass in front lawn, drive wheels just sit and spin or give up all together even though I installed a new belt.
- In summary, due to poor reliability and poor performance in thick grass, this has been a waste of money. Only plus is that I get much more exercise since I have to push the mower through the thick grass.

MULTIPLE DESIGN FLAWS
By Edward S.
Marco Island, Florida
Review Posted 08/29/2015
1)Rear axle and wheel assembly drags on dense lawn turf (St. Augustine) when height selector set on 6 or below causing poor drive performance, excessive drive cable strain leading to breakage and premature drive drive belt stretching and failure.
2)Poor fitting front baffle allows grass clippings to accumulate that become saturated with water and clipping rot after wash port use leading to rusting of the front axle assembly and overall mower weight.
3)Solution: Fire the designers, dump the mower and never buy Husqvarna again.

I thought Husky's were legendary. Mulch guard broken, discharge deflector in pieces, trouble starting, have had to clean carb twice, mows like I let a herd of goats across my yard. It has a three year warranty I am in second year and I have serious doubts I will get three years out of it. I have a small lawn in a neighborhood, so really, it hasn't been overworked. My first and last husky to be sure.

Manufacturer Response
I would suggest taking your unit to an authorized repair center for evaluation. Any defect in materials and workmanship will be repaired at no cost to you, and the will be able to identify the cause of the issue you are having with the cut on your mower.
If the carb requires cleaning it would be due to stale fuel or contaminated fuel being used, and those such instances are not covered by warranty.

Worthless Mower
By Phil

Review Posted 09/11/2013
Just bought new about 2 months ago. Experienced same as many other. Forget bagging because grass barely gets there- just clumps under mower unless you go very slow and cut off very little. Even tried another style blade and no help. Self Propel sucks. Worked ok about first 5 hours and now can't adjust cable or belt enough to provide good drive. Looks like it needs a new belt already. Mower seems to start good and run good and quiet, but no way we would buy another one. Mowed with an old 2 cycle Lawn Boy for years and it worked better than this. Too late for us to return, but want to keep others from buying this mower.

Wow, what a bunch of whiners in these reviews. They must be shills for other manufacturers/retailers. Anyway ...
This is a great mower. I'm glad I went with the B&S Professional Series engine rather than the lower-quality Honda GCV160 my previous mower had. The B&S OHV has gobs of power and is made in the USA.
I've had no problems starting, running, or restarting. Use a quality fuel (hint: NOT from 7-Eleven) and have enough sense to run the thing dry at the end of each season like the instructions tell you to do. Cutting quality is top notch. Not a single clipping was left behind even in my thickest grass. The rear wheel drive has plenty of power to propel the mower forward. The handles that activate the self-propelled mechanism are comfortable to use and feel reliable.
The overall build quality of the mower is better than most, and I'm very happy with the value.

LADY'S OPINION

I am age 39, female and I'm....well let's just say, I have more weight to lose. I live on a very steep hill, especially near the bottom, I have to walk sideways or I slip. I got this mower and it PULLS me up the hill. I have thought about putting on skates and just letting it drag me around the yard (gotta think a little more about how not to get skate wheels stuck in the grass lol). My grass is crazy. On one half of the yard, it's thin and weedy and other half is so thick, it feels like fake grass. It mows all of it great. I'm busy all day and if it rains well my chances to mow are limited, so my grass can get pretty high. The only time the mower struggled to stay alive was when I let my grass get about 2 feet high and it was wet. And thank GOD for the lack of ease to roll backwards. I don't know if that's a safety thing or what but when I slid backwards down my hill and forgot to let go of the mower, it kept me from pulling it on top of me. I can get it to go backwards with a little effort no problem. It turns fine going uphill or downhill or sideways. I love this mower. It's actually gotten me to get out and mow the grass more often because now it's so much easier.

First season-
1.) Bag not even 1/4 full & starts leaving clumps of grass behind.
2.) You have to push mower because drive isn't strong enough if grass is 5 inches high.
3.) Grass at that height you have to almost stop so the mower doesn't.
Two months into second season mower stalls & hard to restart if it starts.
