Husky TA-2530B Reviews & Ratings
Well Worth What I Paid

I bought this as I was out of town and ran across a job needing a compressor as my others were on other jobs. I figured for what it costs, one job it would pay for itself. It has over and over been about 8 yrs still going.

I am returning my 2nd 8 gallon Husky hot dog air compressor as I have a 3-way Quick Connect value that protrudes past the side. It can't roll over its own cord without tipping. This is the second time that this has happened. It broke the weld off at the connector point. Thank goodness for Home Depot 2 year manufacturer warranty included

This unit worked great for about 3 years then stopped building pressure, called tech support and was told the problem was 95% the pressure switch.
$25.00 and 5 days later it still had the same problem. while I was changing the pressure switch I noticed the outlet tube had broken off at the flange so I called tech support and was told the $4.00 part was not available and to call back in 2 to 4 weeks for the status.
Can't wait any longer, need to order a reliable unit. BTW, The replacement part came from a company called Hongyou.

Poor Quality Compressonr

I purchased my compressor from Home Depot and it worked fine for about a year. Last time I used it, it started to give off a burning plastic smell, and ever since then it will not build pressure past 70lbs.
I've taken it apart and my guess would be the head gasket burned a little because that's the only non metal part. However I cannot find anyone that sells replacement parts for this product and a service center wants almost as much as I paid for it to repair it.
So this is a good compressor if all you ever do is put air in your tires and pray you never need parts.

I purchased the 8 gallon portable husky air compressor to use with to install hard wood floors. I have used this compressor for painting projects, staining, pressure washing, tire repairs, I have had a really pleasant experience with this product.
Great compressor...it gets the job done. I needed to order replacement air filters, called husky no receipt...no problem...took great care of me...replacement parts at no charge...WOW...I'd definitely recommend Husky Brand a life time brand loyal customer....that the way I enjoy doing business.

Purchased 5 months ago and limited use for cleaning hair off clipper blades. It worked GREAT the first weekend it was used. The next weekend, it wouldn't start without draining all the air from the tank.
Now it only pumps up to about 60/80 PSI, starts loading the compressor down, and pops the breaker.
NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THIS UNIT. I would suggest looking at other brands. I purchased a Steele compressor to replace this one, and I will test it out in March.. I hope it lives up to its published reviews.

Will never buy another Husky compressor at Home Depot
By Jerry D.

Bought a Husky air compressor at Home Depot, BIG MISTAKE. Couldn't get it replaced, it's six months old and I only used it to air up tires and balls for grandkids.
They said they would repair it, but that's been two weeks ago. If they repair it they will have to send it out and it will take no less than 4 weeks, still waiting for parts. On all 4 sides of the box it in big letters it says it comes with a two year warranty, misleading don't believe everything you read from Husky and Home Depot.
