Nice Trimmer

This is my second Echo trimmer and I use them heavily. I like the handle bar style with a harness, for I feel that they balance better to work more efficiently. Bit of a pain to clear wrapped up stringy grass because to reach the trimmer head you may have to release the harness and reach when cleared. I am not a fan of the actual trimmer head because it's a bit more difficult to re-spool with trimmer line than the aftermarket head I bought to replace the first trimmer head when I had worn that one out. All in all, I like the Echo trimmer products and will continue using them.

Great Timmer For A Reasonable Price

There are three things that drive me crazy with line trimmers:
1. They won't start
2. Having to stop to untangle grass from the cutting head
3. Having the string stop feeding through the head.
I had purchased a much more expensive unit with the idea that it would last a long time, but that didn't happen. So to replace that one, I purchased this Echo unit and have been very excited with it. When I trim, I just want to trim, and trim, and trim, with no interruptions caused by the three things I mentioned above.
Well, this trimmer does just that, it starts, and trims, and trims, and trims without the headaches that many trimmers cause. All I can say it, I just wish I would have started with this model of trimmer may years ago and I would highly recommend this unit to anyone who just wants to keeping trimming.

Nice Tool, Big Improvement Over My Old Cutter!

Easy to assemble out of the box. Took a couple of tries to get the center of balance of the shoulder strap and u-handle just right. Then out for a test run. Love it. Easy to start. Even idle. Powerful enough. Easy line feed that functions as advertised. U-handle helps me a lot as I have some physical challenges.

I Won't Disappoint! Buy Me! Buy Me!

Echo never seems to disappoint me! Truly a great machine that has done everything I asked of it. Love the U-handle design n the engine ran smooth as silk. Speed feed head worked flawlessly as well. Alongside of that, I’ve recently purchased another Echo chainsaw. I’ve owned numerous Echo brand machines and not once had a single issue. Lookout Stihl and Husqvarna. Echo is competition to be worried about.

Echo Trimmer

I’m still undecided on the quality of the Echo products. I bought one gas trimmer years ago that ran great until one day after three years it quit, dead. Bought another battery unit that ran great for two years and then in the spring wouldn’t charge, no reply from Echo on warranty.

Easy To Use For A Novice

I purchased the Echo to use primarily as a brush cutter and it works great. It's light, has an above-average harness, and it's easy to start. I'm only 5'5, and the shaft of the brush cutter isn't too long which provides maneuverability. Changing from trimmer to brush cutter was rather simple, and it works with other brush cutter blades, I used one with 20 teeth.
The only knock on the trimmer is that the pull start and the carburetor are not connected nor configured out of the box. I'm a novice at 2-cycle engines, but it wasn't that bad in the end. I got it to run idle and easily start with some trial and error.
