If you need a powerful professional quality saw but at a Farm and Ranch saw price, check out the Echo CS590 Timber Wolf. At just under 60cc's and bar length of 20", this saw will get you through even the toughest jobs. The digital ignition and decompression valve make it easy to start and the G-Force air cleaning system extends the engine life for years of exceptional performance. Another great feature is the clutch driven oiler which only oils when the chain is moving meaning no more oil puddles while the saw is idle. And, unlike most chainsaws of this size, it uses full-size 3/8" chain making it one of the most aggressive cutting chainsaws in this price range. Also available in an 18" bar length.

Echo Chain Saw (Never Sent Images)
By William F.
Kansas
Purchased 09/18/2023 |
Review Posted 10/31/2023
The package arrived with box ripped and heavily taped. Parts were hanging out of the ripped box. I contacted PED and asked to return. I sent pictures to verify. I took package to FedEX, they did not feel that much damage was related to shipping. I wanted to return. PED denied. It was a gift and it was opened yesterday. The chassis is separated/ the chain is twisted and kinked and not useable. I would like to return for full refund. PED has not been responding to my phone request calls.

Expert Response
Hello William,
We emailed you on September 29th and our notes indicate that yes, you originally reported that the box arrived damaged, and we had opened a claim to get photos of the damaged product and assist through the claim.
However, upon looking through the email history between you and our Parts team, you had chosen to not send photos of the damaged product itself, only the packaging, despite our request that you unpack the unit for closer inspection.
You had then responded that you "don't accept the item based on the condition of the shipping container", and wanted to initiate a return before a review of the product could take place.
Damaged packaging is insufficient proof of a damaged product, which is why we requested photos of the product itself. You did not want to provide us with those photos, so we are left to assume that despite the packaging, the product itself is fine, case, you are responsible for the shipping costs to return this product, per the RMA email that was sent.

Powerful But Fragile
By Chris E.
Wisconsin
Review Posted 10/09/2023
I have been running this saw now for a few months. I demand a lot of my chainsaws, and cut a large quantity of hardwood as the sole heat source for my home. The saw is powerful and relatively light and cuts great. But I can not recommend this saw for heavy-duty users due to several flimsy plastic components. I have broken the chain tensioner twice now and the plastic handle (aftermarket aluminum handles are available and make far better alternatives). Few weeks of lost productivity waiting on parts.

Chainsaw Only Cranks Once In A While
By Johnathan H.
South Carolina
Purchased 05/05/2023 |
Review Posted 07/07/2023
The pressure valve doesn’t pop out to release pressure from the piston right after cranking it the first time. I have followed the starting steps each time and can pull until I am out of strength and oxygen. This thing will not start each time, as projected. The pressure release valve is a bad design in my eyes.

Fell two trees first week. Although saw advertisement states higher risk of kick back can happen, I think you would have to try hard. Read the book!

Great chainsaw for the price. Still breaking it in. I have my own way to break things in. I plan on getting a 4-ft bar for this engine. A great deal of power, I plan on a more aggressive chain also.

Performs as advertised. It was a little hard to start. But I have other Echo saws and they are all the same. Cuts well. Balance seems great. I would not buy the carrying case. That's not what I expected.
