46 inch snow blade good for all seasons
By John T.

Review Posted 10/17/2015
I bought the 46 inch blade for my 1050 Cub Cadet. we live in the country and have a tort asphalt mix driveway. This blade has become one of the greatest tools in my tool shed. I use it to smooth off my drive way. It's great for moving medium size stones and small brush piled.
My 1050 has become a light bulldozer and I'm loving it. The blade is holding up great and a snap to operate. I only wish they had made the angle adjustment so you could change it from the tractor seat. I am 73 years old and don't get around as easy as I used to. I give this blade 4 stars all around.

AWESOME

Ordered it on a Wednesday and got it the next day without paying for faster shipping, beyond expectations! Installed it the next day and it took about 20 minutes, super simple to attach. We had about 6" snow left over on an outdoor basketball court that had been sitting for over a week in 30-40 degree temperatures making it really wet and heavy. No chains or wheel weights (salt spreader mounted on the back gave us enough weight) just pushing some heavy snow with ease! Can't wait to try it out again when we really need it! So much fun too!

Plow exceeds expectations

I bought this snow blade for my Cub Cadet LGT 1050. The blade assembly fit the tractor perfectly and is easy to attach and detach.
Assembly out of the box took about 20 minutes. The blade assembly is VERY well made and a good design. It is a heavy duty unit and should last for years.
The lever to raise and lower the blade operates easily from the seat and the blade has three positions (straight ahead or angled left or right) to allow snow to be pushed to whichever side you need. The angle is changed by getting off the tractor and pulling a spring loaded lever.
The blade has two skid shoes to raise the blade off the surface. They are adjusted using two nuts and carriage bolts. This is the only problem I have with the blade, as I have to plow both concrete and gravel. I would like to be able to easily raise and lower the skid shoes without using tools.
I have plowed 3'-4' of snow so far with no problem, and there are videos online of people plowing 10"+ with the same tractor and blade.
I use Terra Grips rubber traction devices on the rear wheels, and you will want to use chains or something similar. The Terra Grips will not damage your paved surfaces or tires and give excellent traction.

Cub Cadet Snowplow

It actually took me longer to take the mower off of the tractor than to install the snow blade. I was surprised how easily the blade moves up and down-takes a minimum of effort. All I need now is snow.

Works on Cub Cadet LTX1040
By Barry W.

Purchased 10/04/2014 |

Though the instructions are a bit vague but it installed without a great effort. Arrived in a timely fashion.
Can confirm that it installs on a Cub Cadet LTX1040 with no modifications to tractor or plow.
Seems pretty heavy duty.
Shipped in its own box and the box was a bit banged up with some tears in it. No one's fault, but the small parts could have fallen out.

Looked several places for a plow to install on the riding mower. This was the best priced for what we wanted, had the right features, and was shipped quickly.

This is by far one of the best toys I have bought. With all the snow we have had in the Northeast this snow blade has been a valuable piece of equipment added to my collection. I would recommend this to anyone looking to to purchases snow blade easy to use and assemble. Also, easy to store remove one pin and its disconnected. A+ rating.

This was an excellent buy, especially since this winter produced so much snow. My husband clears 4 driveways (ours and neighbors) in around an hour.
