Howard - all of the riding mowers we sell are shipped in the original factory crating, and would require some degree of minor set-up before you could use it.

What's the difference between the LT and the LX?

Rick,
The only differences between these models would be that the LX tractors will have arm rests and a front bumper. Aside from these features, the LT and LX units will perform and operate the same.

Will it mow in reverse?

Charles - the Cub Cadet XT1 and XT2 series tractors all have a Reverse Mode setting on the ignition switch where the key goes. If the key is turned to this position on the ignition switch, the tractor can be operated in reverse with the mower blades engaged.

Does it have a locking differential?

Todd - the Cub Cadet LT50 does not have locking differential. The only Cub tractor models that have the locking differential are the LX46 and the LX54.
