Craftsman 7800669 Reviews & Ratings
Not worth the time.

In March 2012 I bought this mower. The first one delivered didn't even start. I should have cancelled the sale. The second one ran quite well for about two months. I started having problems with it starting, and more so when hot. I have spent over $500.00 through 4 mechanics trying to get this thing to run right.
I can drain the battery and not get it to start. I have tried starting fluid to no avail. It just has to sit for as long as an hour before it will turn over. It cranks but doesn't seem to get any fire to the plug. You can smell the fuel when it floods. I can't wait to get this piece of junk sold. I'm going to take a pretty good hit trying to sell this thing.

Best small mower ever!!!!!

I have used the Snapper version of this mower for 30+ years with no problems, when I saw Sears was closing them out for a terrible plastic 30" replacement, I bought one for my new house on a half acre with a 100'x 45' hill that's at a 45 degree angle.
It climbs it with no problem, even pulling a cart full of dirt for seeding the hill. I have cut field grass mixed with small trees and thick weeds with no problems. This machine deck is built with very thick metal that does not dent if you hit rocks, trees, pounded in lot markers you don't see, or wood thrown out in the field by builders.
It's a shame it's discontinued. Must be because it just runs and runs with no breakdowns. I use the regular blade with the mulching cover instead of the mulching blade. I find that it works better and gives a smoother cut.

Old style Snapper rear riding mower, proven and dependable

I bought this same style Snapper mower back in 1987 and I finally replaced it this year. Its still runs like a champ, I just wanted a new mower. Snappers new rear style mower is cheap and hard to work on, can't stand it on end to work on it like the old style.
