Craftsman 34119 Reviews & Ratings
Very Good Chainsaw
By Keith C.

Review Posted 04/02/2019
I just used this chainsaw to cut down a palm tree with a 36-inch trunk and did a excellent job. I must say I was amazed. It had good power and was just throwing the chips out as it cut. The self oilier for the chain is great just fill the oil tank and go. No hard starting and mixing oil and gas. So for a homeowner where you may need a chainsaw just once in a while its the way to go.

Pros:
Easy To Use, Quiet, Price, Reliable
Craftsman electric 16" chain

Contrary to most reviews, the saw is wonderful. The problem is the Oregon 56 chain does not fit it. No one has the part but in Poland and France. Sears keeps selling me 56 and it is too big.

So what do I do with the saw. After a 40 minute wait some genius at sears gave me a model number but wanted $28 for the chain. I paid $75 for the saw. Sears is sure going down hill.

Do not buy this piece of " Crap "
By Gerald B.

Do not under any pretense buy this substandard " Craftsman " piece of junk ! After a short while it will strip the teeth in the main drive gear rendering it unusable . If you try to fix it you will be told that the part is no longer available . WHAT ? The main part of the saw and you can not get another one!

I've tried to get one directly from their " service " center and have tried everyone on line . It is impossible to fix it once it goes and all you will get from Sears is a weak apology .

The best advice I can give you is to go anywhere but Sears and buy anything but a Craftsman . You will probably have better luck .

This is not the fist time I have been " STUNG " by Sears marketing but it will definitely be the last . Do not shop at Sears and do not buy their cheap junk!

Returned this model twice

I encountered jamming on the tension knobs. After two exchanges, I upgraded to the 18" craftsman. No problems with the 18" but don't buy the 16".
