Is a two-stage better than a 4-cylinder, single-stage compressor?
Steve W.
from Illinois
May 17, 2018
Answer
One isn't better than the other. It comes down to what your air needs are and your operating pressure. A two-stage air compressor pressurizes air to 175 psi. The 4-cylinder unit you are inquiring about does 140 psi. If you have any other questions about this or other products from our website, please contact us. You can also reference the product manual for more information.

Are the 60 & 80 gal compressors in lowes, home depot and tractor supple worth buying. I heard they are like all other equip. they sell. I had experience with a john deere power washer, took it back and got a real deere for $25 more. Found out they are no name made and then put name on it. No problems in 3 yrs. For 650 t0 850 I'd rather spend a little more and get a quality mach.

Answer
Yes, manufacturers make models specifically for the "big box" hardware & warehouse stores in order to sell them for the price demanded by those stores.
We sell the same models that are sold by the local manufacturers installing dealers & not the "lightened up" versions found in discount stores.
