Engine came well packed and in good condition. When I went to bolt it on I found only one of the holes was tapped to receive a bolt. I tapped all the holes with 3/8 UNC thread and scrounged 3 matching bolts to complete the install. What should have taken 10 minutes took an hour. It started on the second pull with a slight bit of blue smoke then ran well. It vibrates less than the original by a long shot. I hope Briggs did a good R&D on these never-change-the-oil engines. That concept makes no sense to this 62 year old. I will probably siphon it out and change it anyway!

Found replacing the motor on my lawnmower to be the cheapest solution after I damaged beyond use the previous motor on a tree stump. Received motor quickly and for the lowest cost online when considering shipping. Even bought a higher power motor than previous and this still was the most economical solution to mower replacement.

This is a Great Budget Engine
and it would be a Great Upgrade Engine
for any Old Push Mower on which it will mount!

I Bought a Brand New Snapper SP90Q Self-propelled Walk-behind mower
That came with one of these 163cc E X i engines on it.

Motorcycles are Required to have a Minimum of 125cc for the Express-Way
in most States So with this Engine Providing 163cc and 7.25 pounds-foot of Torque.
The Power Provided is More then Adequate for the Gentle task of Mowing the average Residential Lawn or City Lot.

Another Big Plus about this Engine is it mows my Entire Just Under 1 Acre lot
with the provided Large Capacity 0.25 Quarter Gallon Fuel Tank on One Tank of Fuel along with leaving me enough Fuel to mow my Front Yard again the next Week Before I have to Fill-up too Mow the Backyard.

If I had My Own Lawn Mower Manufacture Company
This is the ONLY Engine I would EVER put on Our Mowers.
With the Lo-Tone Muffler it's also remarkably Quieter then most
So if you enjoy listening to your iPod MP3 Player (or) Streaming music from your phone while you mow paired with some noise canceling headphones.
it should make a more pleasant mowing experience then any other mower engine.

You can NEVER go wrong with Briggs and Stratton!
Major Plus again the Oil Capacity of this Mower is ONLY 15-Ounces.
You get 32-Ounces of Oil when you buy a Quart of Oil
So you can Mow for 2 Seasons on One Quart of Quality Full-Synthetic 5W-30
Since Briggs and Stratton allows Full-Synthetic's to be used in their Engines
if you use a Full-Synthetic 5W-30 in your Car Being a Briggs Engine this Engine allows you to use the Same Oil you use in your Car With only One Shopping Trip! That is if you take care of your car the way you should!

Since I have only owned it for one year I purchased a mower with this engine on April 8-th of 2016. I will report back with durability But so Far it Feels Good.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
My Experiences come from this Engine being
mounted on a 21-inch Cut Deck.
If your Deck is smaller or larger then 21-inches your mileage may vary.

I installed the motor on the log splitter added oil and after putting in the gas she started on the second pull! it runs all day long on very little gas and I love the NO Choke / No prime features Just Pull and Run!

When I came on PED's website to see about ordering a replacement engine for my lawn mower, I asked the question, "which engine should I order, etc",and posted the nomenclature for my original engine, the picture of the 104M02-0021-F1 popped up and I assumed that this was the answer to my question and ordered this engine. Several days later I received an answer from "JACK" telling me to order the 104M02-0020-F1.

I called the customer service line and explained that I had already ordered the 104M02-0021-F1 because of the picture of that engine that "popped up" when I had asked my question (assuming that "THAT" was the engine I needed. I was told to go ahead and order the 104M02-0020-F1 and when it arrives, go ahead and return the 104M02-0021-F1, and after 10 days I would be getting a refund (including the shipping that I would pay for returning the first engine) I did this, paying $37.00 to ship back the first engine.

Well, after several weeks, I finally noticed that I received a refund on my credit card.....NOT for the original price of the first engine, and the shipping amount, $37.00 that I was told that I would be getting back. Instead I received a credit for the cost of the original engine (MINUS) the original shipping cost (which was supposed to be "FREE." I called to inquire as to "WHY?" I didn't get the amount (price) of the first engine plus the shipping that "I" paid to ship it back to PED. I was told that "THAT" was what I had coming (PERIOD). I think that you need to change the way that you answer questions like mine when they are submitted.

You need to make sure that a picture of another (NOT the right one) engine "POPS UP. " Can you see why I am disappointed in the way that I was treated? I believe that I was mislead by that picture that "popped up" immediately after I submitted my question. Based on the way that I was treated when I called (your "Customer Service") to question why I didn't get the full credit for the first engine (that I returned) PLUS the shipping charge that "I" paid, I will NOT be checking your website the next time that I need to purchase something from the inventory that you carry. If you have bothered to read this note in it's entirety, I thank you for that much. Other than that......."No Comment!"
