Can this unit split green wood?

Answer
This will split some green wood, depending on how large the diameter of the log is. In most cases, a 7-ton can split a 12" Seasoned log.  But with green wood, you are looking at being able to split anywhere from 6" to 8" logs with a 7-ton splitter.

You can store it vertical if you remove the operating handle and tighten up the vent plug. You also may want to put a block of 2X4 under the acorn nuts to level it if it is leaning too far or on an incline.
