A Perfect Size

This was my first snowblower, but I found it to meet my needs perfectly. Plenty of power but still small enough to maneuver around my small city lot.

Very Nice Snow Blower

I always consider Ariens first when thinking about snow blowers. Honda would maybe be first, but the price makes me go with Ariens. I run a snow removal business and needed something for clearing heavier snows from the narrow little sidewalks that lead to the front door of homes.
Delivery was fast and simple. The driver had a lift gate even though I didn’t pay for that service. Assembly was simple. It started up after one or two pulls.
I’ve only used it for one snow event, but at every stop, it fired right up and performed flawlessly! I think the features are pretty good considering it’s a 20” snowblower and at the lower end of the Ariens price range. I would easily recommend this to anyone looking for a compact snowblower!

My New Ariens Snow Thrower

Very satisfied with my purchase. I went with the 20-inch model in order to get it out of the garage between the cars, the 24 would have been too wide. Only used a few times so far but love it. It starts very easily and gets the job done. My driveway is concrete and the OEM skids drug badly so I replaced them with roller style, much better.

Definitely Does The Job!

My first snowblower was an Ariens so had no issues buying another one. I have a fairly large driveway with a decent incline. My new Ariens cleans it with no problem, plenty of power to blow that wet heavy snow, love the built-in headlight and the electric start! Shipping was very quick and professional, will definitely buy from PED again!

Very well made. Runs smooth but I have yet to move any snow. Assembly went well. However, the chute cable hook up was an aggravation.

NOW I'm Ready For an Ohio Winter!!
By Henry P.

Review Posted 10/18/2018
Very impressive snow blower! The Ariens build quality is excellent. The assembly pictorials were very good and easy to understand. Assembly took about 45 minutes with no problems. The owner's manual is very comprehensive, well written, and leaves no unanswered questions regarding servicing and maintaining the snowblower. I fueled it with NON-ETHANOL gasoline. It started immediately... and I ran it for about 10 minutes. Since I'll be using it on an (unpaved) gravel driveway I ordered ARMORskids skid shoes to replace the smaller ones supplied with the machine.

This Is A Beast!

This is a beast! Easily plows through the 24 inches of snowbank left by the city plow in front of my driveway. It is compact enough to fit in my one-car garage and still have enough space for my vehicle. Easy to start and I don't have to fret about snowstorm cleanup.

Compact Footprint
By Chris P.

Review Posted 10/16/2017

I just purchased the 920026 model (which is the new 2017 model) and wanted to provide some size details for anyone considering this model to save on storage space. Obviously I have not used it in the snow but I have previously used Ariens snowthrowers and have sold them at retail, so I know they are quality products.
This model is the smaller of the two in their Compact series and it is compact when stored properly. The handle can be folded down to reduce the overall length from around 53" to about 43". So the total footprint is about 24" x 43". The height is also reduced to around 36". This fits perfectly in a corner of my 8' x 12' shed.
Folding the handle down does require some disassembly of the chute control cable and rotation handle, as well as the gear shift linkage but it's simple enough to do with a few wrenches and a pair of pliers. I wouldn't want to reassemble and disassemble each time it snows but for long term storage it's not a big deal.
Overall, this compact unit fits where I need to store it which was a definite deciding factor in purchasing this size and model. As for how much I have to clear, I have a 30 foot two car driveway, and lots of sidewalk (I have a corner lot) to clear and will probably help out the neighbors if we get a big snow like the past two seasons. That said, a larger clearing width would be nicer but the ability to store it in the space I have is more valuable to me.
