Q: Why is the Worx Pacesetter discontinued? Is it your company's decision or is Worx coming out with a new and improved model for the 2013 season? Thanks.
by Augi from Ohio on April 17, 2013

A: This would be our decision. As far as we know this model should still be available, but not with us. We tend to go with Greenworks more than Worx due to warranty and logistical reasons. If you wanted to take a look at a similar Greenworks model, the link is below.

Greenworks 25272

This mower would be a 36V self-propelled mower and comes with a 4 year warranty. The support provided by this company is absolutely terrific if it is needed.

Q: Todd my wife wants to go "green" with lawn cutting by purchasing a battery powered mower. we are considering the Worxs 19" 36 volt model WG789. i am concerned it wont have enough power and am more in favour of a gas powred mower. our lawn is less than 10,000 sq.ft what is your recommendation?
by Jerry Francis from Indiana on May 05, 2011

A: Thanks for your inquiry. My recommendation if you want to "go green" would be the Toro ecycler model 20360. You pay a little more, but it is arguably the best electric mower you will find.

Pricey
I've had my mower a year. It is a great concept--runs very quiet, very easy to use, if you store and charge the battery properly it functions well, no gas or oil to fuss with. Down side- it takes 12 hours to fully charge the battery. On quiet mode it barely has enough juice to finish my lawn (1/3 acre). The batteries are über expensive-- so a second battery is out of the question. There is a lot more uncut straggler grass with this then I had with my old gas lawn mower--which means I have... more
Pros: Easy To Use, Quiet, Light Weight, Easy To Store

Great Power And Self-propelled
This is it! The power is great you will think it's gas, easy to adjust the height. I cut my yard its 87ft wide 209 ft deep. I am so glad I bought this mower. I hope everything goes battery. I don't have to breath fumes on the hillside either. I still use it for the trim mower, but if something happened to the rider, it could easily cut my whole yard on one charge its just great, as long as you don't let your grass get to high just use common sense.

No Warranty For Battery
I bought the mower in 2013 and was happy with it. After 2 summers, the mower will not start. The battery has a limited warranty and I was told I need a new battery and maybe a new charger.

The cost for both is half the price of anew mower. The gas mower I had lasted well over 10 years with minimum maintenance. I will not purchase another worx product.

Best Mower Ever
After years of fighting with our electric mower and then the last year having my husband salivate over this mower we finally bought it. The self propelled feature along with the cordless function has shortened our time from about 45 minutes to 15.

On a scale of 1-10, this mower gets a 10.
Pros: Easy To Use, Exceeded Expectations, Reliable, I'd Buy It Again

Worx Pace Setter Cordless Electric Lawn Mower
This is the second self-propelled cordless Lawn mower. The last one had very limited battery capacity, required me to purchase a second battery after only 1 month of usage costing $140! I have nothing but praise for my Worx machine starting with delivery of the mower 48 hours earlier than the projected date.

The instructions were very clear and the machine cut both my front and back yard lawns on one charge even though both lawns had become overgrown. Since then it has operated beautifully... more

"First time customer. Your website was easy to use and ordering the machine was very straight forward and simple to use. Delivery was better than expected in that the machine arrived before the projected delivery date. This was a plus for me since I was leaving town on vacation the day after the original projected delivery date. I was able to use the mower to cut my lawns before leaving"

Not Sure About This Mower
Over the weekend my wife and I finally got brave and opened our new Worx, Model WG789...we were excited to finally choke out the old gas mower and step up to this baby. Assembly was easy, however we learned that they gave us a bad battery charger, with an inoperative on-off button and a green charging light not working...it did, however, charge the battery as the indicator on the battery read full. I was concerned that the charger never shut off as it was supposed to and got very hot to the... more
