Ordered the Troy Bilt Mulchinator several months ago and finally put it to use last weekend.
Set up was relatively simple. Preparing the two-cycle gas was a pain, but I'll be able to use my new mixture with my 2-cycle snow blower later this winter.
The vacuum function worked like a charm. Was able to suck leaves in flower beds without hurting the plants. Mulching the leaves proved useful. However, the longer you vacuum - the heaver the bag - the more tired you get.
The leaf blower worked exceptionally well on flat surfaces, including my driveway, sidewalk and back deck. It blows large leaves well. Had a little difficulty blowing really small leaves stuck in the grass. Vacuumed the small leaves instead of blowing.
It also comes with a vacuum cleaner like attachment, which isn't shown in the picture. You basically attach it to the front nozzle. It has small wheels and rolls around like a small vacuum cleaner. Nice addition.
Overall, I really like the Mulchinator. Much better than any electric or cordless leaf blower. Lots of power.
