Q: Can you get these with anti-scalp wheels. Our front yard is uneven so these would be needed.
by John from South Carolina on August 29, 2013

A: John - the Snapper rear engine riders do not have an option for anti-scalp wheels on the mower deck.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Does Snapper offer an anti scalping wheel to put on the deck so if I hit a hole with w/ wheel it does not push the deck into the ground and scalp my lawn?
by Travis from Georgia on May 29, 2013

A: Travis - sorry, but Snapper does not have anti-scalp wheels that are compatible with the mower deck on the RE series rear engine riding mowers.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Can I tow a small trailer for sticks and stuff?
by Mark from Connecticut on May 09, 2013

A: Mark - sorry, but the Snapper RE110 mower does not have a rear hitch, so it is not capable of towing any type of attachment.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: My back yard has an incline. What is the maximum incline this mower will support? I would mow so the mower is going perpendicular to the incline.
by Ann Noles from Florida on April 29, 2013

A: Ann - the Snapper rear engine riding mowers are not recommended for use on slopes or inclines of greater than 17 degrees. Anything more than this and you run the risk of not only poor traction but restricting proper oil flow to key engine parts - especially if you are mowing across the plane of the slope being mowed as you suggest in your e-mail.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: If by chance, while mower is under warranty and something happens, how does it get fixed?
by Sha from West Virginia on April 22, 2013

A: Sha - should warranty service ever be needed, you would take your mower to the nearest Snapper authorized service center in your area. The Snapper warranty is a nationwide warranty, so it's honored no matter where the mower was originally purchased.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Are there any Snapper models that still have the stand-on-end capabitlity? That was one of my most preferred featrures.
by MCM from South Carolina on April 13, 2013

A: MCM - unfortunately, the "stand on end" feature is no longer available on any of the new RE series Snapper rear engine riding mowers.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: I've ordered a Snapper RE100 riding mower from you recently. I am looking forward to receiving it and am patiently waiting for its delivery. Does this 2013 new model have the capability of adding a trailer to it now that it cannot be stored in an upright position? If a trailer mount isn't provided, do you think that one might be able to improvise their own mount?

Thank you,

Ron

by Ronald Ziegler from Tennessee on February 20, 2013

A: Ronald - sorry, but none of the new Snapper rear engine riders have a hitch included, and Snapper does not offer a hitch attachment as an option either.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Can you stand mower up for easy access to blade and is there still only one belt ?
by Mike from Alabama on February 16, 2013

A: Mike - the new Snapper RE-series rear engine riding mower do NOT have the stand-on-end capability like the previous models did. The mower deck is still a belt-drive system.
by Jose, Product Expert
Q: Is this mower pull start or electric?
by Darlene Crane from Georgia on February 09, 2013

A: Darlene - all of the new Snapper RE-series rear engine riding mowers are electric start.

Very Impressed With Build Quality
Reading some of these reviews, I'm reminded of my Dad telling me that 'Some people will b$tch about a free lunch' :-).

I uncreated the mower and attached the steering wheel, seat, and front wheels. I was very impressed with the build quality- there is not a piece of plastic on the whole machine. Even the gas tank is made of steel.

One note however- the instructions didn't mention that the negative cable to the battery was not connected.
It started on the first turn of key and ran like a... more

Briggs And Stratton Bad Motor
Well to start I bought my mower from direct mowers at first i was totally happy, after un-crating and assembling, I read the instructions and l filled with gas and oil. This is where the problem began,we let the Briggs and Stratton 11.5HP warm up at idle in our garage suddenly it stopped. Having owned mowers all my life I knew the motor locked-up, I then was told by Snapper to take to nearest authorized repair shop. They were very informative and helpful. They said they would contact the motor... more

Anti Scalp Wheels Confirmed - Yes They Do Make Them And They Fit
I purchased my mower locally in April and overall I am happy with the cut. I have the ninja mulching blade installed and I cut my yard on the next to the lowest setting or the second to the lowest setting. These are approximately 1.5 and 2.0 inches respectively. I have Meyer Zoysia in my front yard and Tifton Bermuda in my back yard.

What I have noticed in my yard is when I cut the grass and turn sharply or turn on a slope, the cut of the grass is uneven. The high side of the turn causes... more

Ignition Switch Is Junk!
Had my new RE110 for a few months now. Ignition switch began acting up a month ago and now doesn't work at all. Dealership say's they're on "back order". Are there really that many failing?

Not The Snapper Of Old
I researched all over the internet for this a few months ago. I looked it over in person and saw it looked similar to the old style Snappers but did have some changes. Instead of buying it on Mowers Direct I bought it at a dealer in case it had any problems. When I walked into the dealer it was the same $1,499 as listed here. It was next to a larger Cub Cadet with the Kawasaki engine for $1,699. $200 price difference for a much better machine, I should have bought the Cub. I didn't. I... more

A Lifesaver!
This is my first riding mower. I needed a mower that would pass through a couple of 32 inch bottlenecks and my new Snapper does just that with a wider cutting swath than any other small rider. Great engineering!

Started right up "out of the box" and has been trouble free while I make all of the beginner mistakes. Living in Southwest Florida can be a life threatening experience, pushing a mower in summertime, so as I approach 70 years old I decided that discretion is the better part... more

Should Have Read Reviews!
Purchased in April, 2013 and came with a regular blade (Should install mulching blade at factory). Impossible to DIY so back to shop where purchased. Next, was losing power to climb small inclines in yard to point was necessary to go up in reverse- back to shop for three weeks to fix while I decide to keep or trade in. Dealer convinced me to minimize my losses and he fixed at no expense to me. Dealer has been fair but now a service bulletin has claimed an ignition switch must be replaced and is... more

A Bit Of A Beast
I went from Craftsman to this mower. Kind of like switching from a Buick to a Jeep. Harder to turn, rougher ride but it cuts beautifully. I love the cut in reverse feature. I added the double bagger and absolutely love that.
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Reliable, I'd Buy It Again
Cons: Difficult To Use, Expensive

Very Disappointed With Mower
First year was great. Ran like a charm. One month after warranty was over, had electrical problems. Been dealing with issue since. Makes good stationary seat in the garage. If this is typical on Snapper products, will never buy one again. Thank goodness I still have my 19 year old push Lawn -Boy. All I have had to do with it was replace oil and worn out parts.

Doug,
Doug,

Not sure if we are missing something, but the Snapper 7800920 is a model from last year and carries a 3 year warranty. If you are having problems with the electrical system this would still be covered under warranty. If you have any questions on this at all, please contact us and we can assist in any way we can. Below would be our number and again feel free to call us if you have questions.
