Worx Gt 24v
With all guys getting a new tool, I was excited but was concerned about all the reviews on the battery so I decided not to use the "man's" approach and actually read the instruction manual. Well, couldn't find anything about charging the battery the "first" time for 12 hours like I read for other reviews, so I stayed with what I read in the instruction manual. Charged it for 3-5 hours or in this case until the light came green. Unplugged it, since it was late I had to... more

Worx Trimmer W/24v Battery
Trimmer is light weight which I need, however, the battery is useless. Only operates for about 15 minutes. Goes completely dead. I originally bought the smallest Voltage and had to buy 2 batteries in order to do my whole yard. Thinking I would love this 24V and it would do the whole yard, you can imagine how disappointed I am that it is a dud.........

Terrible Battery Life: Great Product
After watching the infomercial many times, I really wanted this product. I ordered it in the Spring of 2010 and loved it from the very first use. A few months later, the battery would no longer take a charge. Having had the same issues as everyone else (waiting on hold for customer service FOREVER), I finally spoke with someone who said that they would send me a new battery at no charge, which they did. I was only able to use the trimmer a few times in the fall before winter came.

Trimmer-edger
Difficult to assemble. Feeding problems with the factory installed cutting wire spool, to the point that I had to replace it with one of the spares. The original that was installed at the factory was useless. I've followed the trouble-shooting steps written in the manufacturer's manual, but it did not work as expected.

Battery Solution
I purchased the Worx 24-Volt trimmer in spring 2010, and as many others have reported, I also experienced the failure of the batteries to charge after about a month or so of use. I have two batteries because I also bought the hedge trimmer separately. Both batteries failed. I contacted Worx via e-mail from their website, and after some time, I assumed they would never respond. Finally, they did respond and explained to me how to return the batteries for replacement. When I received the... more

Sorry Battery
Got my Worx GT after re-sodding my lawn in July 2010. I used it up until fall and lawn went dormant. Spring 2011 came around, first cut on lawn it worked fine, second cut battery lasted 10 minutes. I recharged it and it lasted for 20 feet of trimming. I've been recharging and recharging ever since March it is now June.

I finally scrapped it and am going back to a real trimmer. Don't waste your money on that piece of junk. Worx should return everyone's money cause we all got robbed. ... more

Worx (10") 24-volt Lithium-ion Cordless String Trimmer & Edger Review
I actually purchased two of these- one for my daughter and, after my wife saw how easy it was to use, she wanted one too.

It works really well for small stuff around the home. However, I have a gas machine I use around our ranch. I was disappointed that it was later advertised on TV at a lower price that also included life time supply of string.

MD RESPONDS: We apologize for any inconvenience- the manufacturer didn't make that offer available to us.

I got this trimmer yesterday and it works great. I couldn't use a weedeater without hitting the fence, but this weedeater is very easy to use and I don't hit anything but the weeds. It was worth the money.

Rich,
It's unfortunate that you had such a bad experience with this trimmer. If you're looking for a better replacement for around the same price, the Toro Lithium-Ion Cordless String Trimmer is our site's best-seller, has an A+ rating, and has received excellent reviews from past customers.

Works Great
Love the trimmer, have been using it for 3 years, just wish the battery would hold a charge longer than 15 minutes.
Pros: Easy To Use, Quiet, Light Weight
Cons: Battery Doesn't Last As Long As They Advertise

The trimmer worked well the first year. This year the battery will not stay charged for more than a few minutes. Had to buy a gas trimmer to get the job done.

Battery Pack
While I am satisfied with the overall performance of the Trimmer Edger tool, the 24-volt Lithium-ion battery pack does not perform to specifications advertised. After 4 complete charges, I am getting only around 15 minutes of battery life. This is less than the older style battery. The new style battery was my reason for purchasing the new unit. I am disappointed to say the least. Thank You.

Battery Doesn't Last
on may 31st I purchased the Worx GT couldn't wait to get it so I could start trimming my yard. Got it charged it up, that lasted about 20 minutes. What a piece of junk, if you thought about it, take my advice don't waste your money. This is a gimmick to get your money, & once they get it they don't answer your calls so you can get the labels necessary to return it. Don't waste your time or your money.

Terrible Battery
Purchased wg165 in Aug 2010, still in one year warranty. Tried to use it this year and it had no charge. I called Worx and I was number 70 on the call list. I sent 2 e-mails without getting any response. I would not recommend dealing with Worx based on my experience.

Bought this string trimmer last summer. Used it 6 times, no more than 20 minutes each time. This unit was stored inside for the winter. I charged the 24 volt lithium battery and the light was green. Attached the battery and it barely turns the trimmer. Piece of junk, very dissapointed

I'm very disgusted with the battery from Worx. It's useless and serve's no purpose whatsoever when it takes more time to recharge the battery than using it. If I would of known this I would not of bought it that's for sure
