Does What A Snow Blower Should
I live in the foothills of Maine so there is no shortage of snow. I have a large area to snow blow and this machine takes care of it well. The review of the snow blower not running the second time it was tried I find odd. Did you add oil, did you choke it to start it? It may not be a specialty store bought Husky, Honda, or Ariens but it does a great job.
Pros: Price, Reliable, Easy To Store, I'd Buy It Again
Cons: Been Through A Few Shear Pins Can't Necessarily Blame The Blower

Wroks As Advertised
Purchased new from Lowes and have used it three times with no issues. It starts on the first pull. The heated grips work very well. It has electric start but I haven't had to use it. I would buy again.
Pros: Easy To Use, Quiet, Exceeded Expectations, I'd Buy It Again

Powerful
I live in Maine where we have snow all winter. This Troy-Bilt machine has never let me down. Used over 12 times last season and it performed very reliably. Throws snow over 30 feet and traction is great.

Good For One Use
Bought Lowes, never new me afterwards. Used one time for major snow event ...Dececember 2010. Tried to start today for 2nd time won't start. Replaced spark plug still won't start. Cleaned Carb bowl. Still won't start. Flat moves freely/jet needle intact. Still doesn't start. Added fresh gas w/ measured fuel stabilizer. Bottom line my lawn mower performed better. Stay away from Troy Built products. There extended warranty for additional years. Hold time on pone insane 2.5 hrs.
Pros: Features
Cons: Low Quality, Unreliable, Bad Instructions, Expensive

Troy-bilt 2840 Snow Blower
2840 has some nice features with the 4 way joystick control. I just hope it holds up to the test of time. Housing seems to be kind of thin metal but hey it isn't an Ariens. Hope the China engine holds up. Started up on the second pull out of the box. Haven't used it yet so don't know how the performance will be. I do like the extended chute design. Hope it turns out to be a good snow blower.
Pros: Features, Easy To Use, Price, Light Weight
Cons: Low Quality
