I have purchased Little giants several times over the past couple yrs. I use them to pump out small pools. Normally I pay near $400.00 for them but decided to try and save some money this time. Well you get what you pay for. This pump I bought from you is the same size and power as Iv paid more money for in the past. Your pump can barely pump up hill and when you can get it to work it pumps extremely slow. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PUMP TO ANYONE...

I'm sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing with your pump. Unfortunately, people do tend to get misled from time to time when it comes to matching pumps as one utility pump will not necessarily have the same specs as another utility pump weather you are going by flow rates (GPM) or HP. I am assuming that your $400 pump was able to provide a higher head and pressure than the UP16M pump that you purchased for $100. This pump (UP16M) has a max total head lift of 19 feet as stated under the product SPECS TAB on our website. If you can provide the model# of your original $400 Little Giant pump, I would be happy to find a good matching pump for you.
IF, on the other hand, your total head for your application did not exceed the rated 19 feet of head, it is possible that the pump is defective. If this is the case, please call Little Giant tech support at 888-956-0000 and they will be happy to assist you in troubleshooting the issue with you. If they deem the pump as defective, please get back to me with the name of the tech you spoke to and the diagnosis (not defective) and I'll be happy to initiate the warranty return process.
