Tried chain saw. Working on limbs about 12 ft above ground.
First limb about 3 inches diameter, Oak. Worked fine.
Second limb same size. Cutter slip off branch could not stop the saw from hitting ground. Broke case where it attaches to pole.
No parts, and no way to repair it as company had no idea what kind of cement/glue I could use. So one branch cost me $120.00.

Earth Wise Electric Chain Saw
Really like this saw. Have had a few other models and this is the best so far. The only complaint is the cord coming directly out the bottom of the handle and the oil reserve could be a bit larger.

8" Earthwise, 6.5 Amp, 2- In- 1 Convertible
Perfect saw for my needs. The 2-in-1 feature is great. First time use was for light trimming (under 2 inch diameter) in trees and bushes and saved me more in labor than the purchase price of the saw. When used for which it is designed, near an electrical source, you can't beat it. When used from now on, I'm money ahead. Would recommend.

Great Little Saw
Purchased this pole saw to trim some trees next to my house and it did a great job.

Added some chain oil to lubricate the chain and it was ready to go. The chain was adjusted to the right tension and didn't need any further adjustment. It attaches and separates easily from the pole.

The pole easily adjusts to the length you want. With it extended to the full length, it can get a little heavy to hold, but I'm also a female and 63 years old.

It cut through the small branches with... more

2 Piece Chain Saw
If used a lot. Like I do! It will not hold up. Mine started to crack on the chain saw were it slides onto the pole. Its made of plastic. After the 2 yr warranty, it's void on repairs. I was informed by the company. To throw it away . They do not repair this. All they do is replace it. With another one. To fix it. Buy another one or duck tape the area. And hopes it holds. I suggest you buy the one piece pole saw. Its built stronger by the chain saw area.
Cons: Low Quality, Durability

Worked Well
This is a good product - if used in a logical manner: light duty and, when used as a pole saw, held in as close to vertical as possible so as to minimize arm strain.
Pros: Easy To Use, Price, Fast, I'd Buy It Again
Cons: Heavy

Good Saw, Good Company Also
It works as I had hoped. Nice lite weight. I am not sure its drawing any oil from the tank for the chain lube. Should have purchased a file at time of purchase. I probably don't have any that small.

Good saw. I would make the purchase again. Good company also.

Very Satisfied
I was looking for an 8" electric chainsaw. I looked around and couldn't find one. So I decided to try the Earthwise pole/chainsaw.

I have been using it strictly as a chainsaw and I couldn't be happier. I've cut branches, limbs, small tree trunks (bigger than 3") . It has plenty of power and is so light weight!

Although a little pricey, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Ready To Saw
Have not used yet, but am thrilled with the size, weight and adaptability of the saw and accessories. Have no doubt it will perform to or beyond my anticipation.
