Good Quality Compressor
Unit arrived in good condition and ready to go. Delivery guy was helpful. Good quality compressor.

My only issue was the 1 week lag between placing the order and shipment.

ACD RESPONDS: We say this unit ships in 2 to 5 business days (Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays). We sent your order to the folks at Eagle the same day you placed it; your order was shipped in 6 business days.

We apologize for the 1 day delay. We will work with the folks at Eagle for a faster turn-around!

Made In Usa?
I was under the impression that I was buying an American made air compressor. It seems that it is only assembled in the United States. Where are these parts actually made? I truly hope for your sake that I was not duped into thinking I was supporting my country only to find I've only bought another Chinese product. Please set me straight If I am incorrect.

Charles,
The regulations around "Made in the USA" are very strict- the Federal Trade Commission rules say "For a product to be called Made in USA, or claimed to be of domestic origin without qualifications or limits on the claim, the product must be "all or virtually all" made in the U.S. The term "United States," as referred to in the Enforcement Policy Statement, includes the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories and possessions."

None of the information we publish about this unit states that it is made in the U.S.A, nor do we say it is assembled in the U.S.A.

We went back and checked the information published by the folks at Eagle, and they don't say it is made in the USA, nor do they use an American flag to imply that it is US made, nor do they publish any information about where the parts are made or assembled.

The folks at Wood Industries (the American company that distributes Eagle products) tightly control the quality of their air compressors, and stand behind their 1 year Factory Warranty. They are not required to tell us where the parts come from.

Very few air compressors meet the strict "Made In The USA" regulations. Even top-line American brands like Quincy and Ingersoll Rand are labeled "Built With Pride In The USA" ("built" and "assembled" don't have to meet the same standard as "Made in USA") since using all US-manufactured parts would price them out of today's market.

You Do Say Made In America.
When searching for products on your site I designated Made in America. Now you play a word game about what that means and that you never claimed it was ' made in America'. You should be ashamed.

Bill,
"Made in USA" isn't a word game; it's a legal definition with serious fines from the Federal Trade Commission for it's mis-use!

I went back through every Eagle product listing we have. and nowhere do we say anything about where it is made. So, I searched Made in USA on our web site, and there are no Eagle products listed there, either.
