Rt 45's Got A Set..
Hey Y'all, I just bought this machine here up in Ontario Canada and I'll tell you, for a small rear tine tiller, this machine works very smooth.

I just spent 4 hr. digging down a 12" trench 30' long to put in a row of cedars. I spent more time shoveling out the dirt than I spent tilling down multiple passes, pulling rocks and roots...Nice Machine..

Cub Cadet Rt45 First Impressions
Let me start by giving Tillers Direct two thumbs up. I called a local Cub dealer who told me they had two RT45s in stock. On a Saturday morning, I hooked up the trailer and drove the 25 miles to pick one up. After arriving and seeing no RT45s, I asked the person at the counter about them and she said they only carried the RT65. The RT65s are carried at Tractor Supply and Home Depot as well as all of the independent Cub dealers. If that's what I had wanted, that's what I would have gotten.more
Pros: Easy To Use, Quiet, Price, High Quality

Berry Garden
Just got this bad boy today, ordered it three days ago. Put it together in about 15 minutes. It only had couple bolts and two little wires. Put in the oil in, checked trammission fluid, ready to go. Took it to the garden, pulled down on the handle to go forward, nothing happen, I pulled back on the reverse and it almost ran me over my son said, "you move pretty fast for being 68".
My son came over and looked at it and laughed, said hold on, bent down and put the steel pins threw... more

It's Disappointing Or I'm Dysfunctional
Starts and runs great. Problems I have: 1. Tires dig in and have to lift handle to move along. 2. Depth bar is pretty useless, it digs down with the tines. Should be shaped more like a ski. 3. Tilling taller weeds (18") and expired veg plants the tines get clogged up, throw the material forward (counter rotating) and wrap around axle. Have to constantly stop and pull material out. Doesn't chew it up, just lets it wrap around. I have tried the lowest to the highest depth setting to overcome... more

Worked Great
I tried renting a Troy-Built Bronco earlier in the day but they had the tines going forward and it ripped out of my hand... wife said 'Go Get One' Who am I to argue?? I shopped around at several stores and found this Cub Cadet to not only be the best value but also the best in it's class with warranty and features I was looking for. So I brought it home, filled it with gas and oil and it fired on the second pull. It went through my backyard grass with ease I even had it set a bit deep and... more

Great Purchase!
My husband and I are retired but, still like to garden. Neither of us are physically able to wrestle most tillers. We know Cub Cadet has been a good brand in the past so we decided to buy a rear tine tiller, hoping it would be something we could use without problems. The purchase was great from the day of ordering until we received it a few days later.

It performed better than we hoped. When we first unloaded it we checked it for dents as the packaging was torn during transport. We... more

Grass Farm
This little tiller works great, only two thing that need changing:

1. The tines leaves a two inch strip right down the middle,if you move over you can pick it up with the next pass, the tines need to overlap.

2. You do not have a neutral, so you can push or pull it along, you half to pull the pins in the wheels, move them in and re-pin the tires.

3. It runs very well under a load if you use reg gas, need the high octane, works great. I used this little tiller for 10 hours today and it... more

Reliable And Easy To Operate
This tiller does whatever I want it to do. Till's the ground in no time. I had used it only twice last year and put it away for the season forgetting to put additive for the winter month's. Even here in Tennessee it was colder than usual for winter.
In March I had pulled it out of the shed thinking I was going to have to drain the fuel tank and refill with new.
I checked the oil and decided to try it out for the heck of it. Was I surprised when it started on the first pull.
I have never... more

Does The Job Well.
My needs are simple when it comes to using a tiller. You till the garden, which has been tilled before. I just needed something larger to do a till and landscape on my lawn. This one works well. It arrived in great shape, required a minimal amount of assembly and started on the first pull. If you need more durability, get another unit because this model is a gussied up MTD unit. But for what I need, it does the trick.

First Pull
Fired up on the first pull. I've owned front tine tillers, but only borrowed rear tine tillers. Once I got it to the garden, learned the adjustments and tilled, I know I will like this one for a very long time. I like Cub Cadetís quality of products, as I have owned a RZT mower for 5 years. This tiller is Sweet!
